- Not my best flight! 😂 I started our trip to Italy off with a mild concussion and busted up chin before even landing… Hi, my name is Elissa. I LOVE to travel and explore this big beautiful world but I am NOT a fan of being on an airplane! However, I definitely won’t let that stop me! 💪🏻 On our 10 hour flight to Italy in September, I found out that I am now claustrophobic. I woke up from a nap on the flight (somewhere over the Atlantic Ocean) and started not feeling right (stomach ache, then heavy breathing, irregular heartbeat, dizziness). What I now know was an anxiety attack. This is something I’ve never dealt with prior to this incident. I was in a middle seat (which I will never do again) and a sweet little Italian nonna was asleep in the aisle seat. I felt stuck. Eventually, I woke her up so I could go to the bathroom and throw up. But… I blacked out as soon as I started walking down the aisle. I somehow made it to the back of the plane where I fainted (from a standing position). My chin caught my fall. Long story short, they called for a doctor over the intercom (there were 3 👏🏻). And I was fine. I share this story because some people might have something holding them back from traveling. But I say… look it in the eyes and find a way to work through those obstacles.. because this traveling thing.. it’s worth it!!! Live each day to its fullest! - Parmigiano Reggiano is a hard cheese that is made from cow’s milk. It is aged at least 12 months. And for this cheese to be called Parmigiano Reggiano, it must be produced in a very specific region in northern Italy. The whole process is highly regulated. Quality testing is also done before this cheese can be sold. If imperfections are found, it can only be sold as ‘Parmigiano’ and not ‘Parmigiano Reggiano’. I highly recommend going on a tour to learn about the process. We went on a tour of 3 production facilities (Parmigiano Reggiano, Prosciutto di Parma, and Balsamic Vinegar). We loved it!
