![⛰️ Mt. Saint Helena. Napa
Mount Saint Helena is a peak in the Mayacamas Mountains with flanks in Napa, Sonoma, and Lake counties of California. Composed of uplifted volcanic rocks from the Clear Lake Volcanic Field, it is one of the few mountains in the San Francisco Bay Area to receive any snowfall during the winter.
Mount Saint Helena has had an explosive history of pyroclastic flows that resulted in California’s Petrified Forest.

![📍Point Reyes National Seashore
Punta de los Reyes, meaning ‘Cape of the Kings’) is a prominent landform and popular tourist destination on the Pacific coast of Marin County in Northern California. It is approximately 30 miles (50 km) west-northwest of San Francisco. The term is often applied to the Point Reyes Peninsula, the region bounded by Tomales Bay on the northeast and Bolinas Lagoon on the southeast. The majority of the peninsula as well as the headlands are protected as part of Point Reyes National Seashore.
The entire Point Reyes Peninsula is a piece of the Salinian Block transported northward by the San Andreas Fault. Its core is granite, unlike the terrain east of Tomales Bay. San Andreas Fault runs under Tomales Bay.
There are Tule Elks living in this peninsula, together with deers.

Eagle Rock Hike on the Pacific Crest Trail in San Diego County, is an easily recognizable rock formation shaped like an eagle. It’s located near Warner Springs, not far away from Julian. The Eagle Rock hike is a popular outing, offering a moderate 6.3-mile out-and-back trail that takes around 2.5-3 hours to complete. ![🏝️Avalon
Avalon is the only city on Santa Catalina Island, in the California Channel Islands.
The city is a resort community with a beautiful waterfront. The north end of the harbor is dominated by the Catalina Casino. Built in a style described as a cross between Art Deco and Mediterranean Revival, the Casino serves as Avalon’s most distinctive landmark.
Prior to the modern era, Avalon Bay was inhabited by people of the Gabrielino/Tongva tribe. The island was a major source of soapstone to the Tongva, who used the material to make stone vessels for cooking.
The Tongva called the island Pimu or Pimugna and referred to themselves as the Pimugnans.

My first time in Yosemite and it was epic! We hiked the Mist Trail up to Nevada Falls. It was an easy and stunning hike, but we got super wet due to the mist at Vernal Falls 💦 (the Falls before Nevada Falls)
Nevada Falls is a 594-foot (181 m) high waterfall on the Merced River in Yosemite National Park, California. The waterfall is widely recognized by its “bent” shape, in which the water free-falls for roughly the first third of its length to a steep slick-rock slope. This mid-fall impact of the water on the cliff face creates a turbulent, whitewater appearance in the fall and produces a great deal of mist which covers a wide radius, which led to its current name (Nevada is a Spanish word meaning “snowy”).
The Indian name was Yo-wy-we, signifying the twist or squirm of the falling water.

🇪🇸La villa de Ribadesella, fundada por el rey Alfonso X “el Sabio” en el siglo XIII, ofrece al visitante una interesante mezcla de urbanismo medieval y arquitectura modernista además de una estupenda zona de playa. La localidad muestra dos partes claramente diferenciadas: el lado este, en el que se encuentra la zona antigua de la ciudad, y el lado oeste, donde se ubica la cueva de Tito Bustillo, una de las joyas del arte rupestre de Europa.

![🇪🇸El Parque Natural de Somiedo fue declarado Reserva de la Biosfera en el año 2000. Se extiende sobre cinco valles: Saliencia, Valle del Lago, Puerto y Pola de Somiedo, Perlunes y Pigüeña, y sus cinco ríos con los que comparten nombre, ocupando una superficie de 283 kilómetros cuadrados. De su paisaje destaca la belleza de los lagos, situados al sur del concejo de Somiedo, en lo alto de las sierras que separan Somiedo de León: los tres pequeños lagos de Saliencia; el Lago del Valle, con su característico islote, y que es el lago más grande de Asturias, con un radio medio de 280 metros y una profundidad media de 10 metros, aunque en algunas zonas alcanza los 50 metros; y las escondidas Lagunas de El Páramo, entre los valles de los ríos Somiedo y Pigüeña.
Se trata de uno de los paisajes más accidentados de Asturias, con desniveles que oscilan entre los 400 y los 2.200 metros.

It is one of the most rugged landscapes in Asturias, with gradients ranging from 400 to 2,200 metres.

![📍Frexulfe, Asturias.
🇪🇸El entorno de la playa es fascinante por su vegetación. La cala de arena, de unos 700 metros de longitud, alberga una importante vegetación dunar y un espeso pinar en su parte trasera.
Los acantilados que la rodean forman parte de la declaración de Monumento Natural, junto a las dunas, a la propia playa, y al idílico estuario del río Frejulfe que da nombre a este trozo de costa y desemboca en su seno.
Cabe mencionar aquí que en el entorno de la playa se pueden encontrar prados de «Scirpus parvulus», único lugar de Asturias donde han conseguido desarrollarse haciendo más pintoresco este hábitat. Asimismo, sus valores faunísticos con la presencia de la nutria, la rana verde y el ostrero aportan más riqueza a su ecosistema y más rareza al conjunto.
🇺🇸The beach environment is fascinating due to its vegetation. The sandy cove, about 700 meters long, houses an important dune vegetation and a thick pine forest in the rear.
The cliffs that surround it are part of the declaration of Natural Monument, next to the dunes, to the beach itself, and the idyllic estuary of the Frejulfe river that gives name to this piece of coast and flows into its bosom.
It can be mentioned here that in the environment of the beach you can find lawns of «Scirpus parvulus», the only place in Asturias where they have managed to develop making this habitat more picturesque. Likewise, its fauna values with the presence of the otter, the green frog and the oystercatcher provide more wealth to its ecosystem and more rarity to the whole.

🇺🇸Antigua or La Antigua, is a city in the central highlands of Guatemala. The city was the capital of Guatemala from 1543 through 1773, with much of its Baroque-influenced architecture and layout dating from that period. These characteristics had it designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979.
Antigua was largely destroyed by an earthquake in 1773 and the capital city was moved to the current Guatemala City. Its principal monuments are still preserved as ruins and some were re-built.

🇺🇸La Cueva Lake belongs to the Somiedo Lake Complex. Located within the Council of Somiedo, in the Principality of Asturias, it has a glacial origin, and is considered a Natural Monument, forming part of the Somiedo Natural Park.
The Somiedo Lake Complex is made up of a series of 12 lakes that are grouped along two Somedano valleys; the Saliencia Valley, to the northeast, and the Lago Valley, to the southwest, separated by a limestone ridge.

Its busy fishing port is a charming sight, with its moored fleet of small wooden boats that go out to sea every day, and lined with typical fishermen’s houses, ancestral homes, indianos’ houses and modern buildings. ![🌳Sequoia National Park 🌳
Sequoia National Park is a national park of the United States in the southern Sierra Nevada east of Visalia, California. The park was established on September 25, 1890, and today protects 404,064 acres (1,635 km2) of forested mountainous terrain. Encompassing a vertical relief of nearly 13,000 feet (4,000 m), the park contains the highest point in the contiguous United States, Mount Whitney, at 14,505 feet (4,421 m) above sea level.
The park is notable for its giant sequoia trees, including the General Sherman tree, the largest tree on Earth by volume. The General Sherman tree grows in the Giant Forest, which contains five of the ten largest trees in the world.
I was able to hike this park on a not very busy day, so spent long periods of times without anyone around and encountered even a bear.
Definitely a park to re visit million times again 😍

Such a beautiful adventure with doctorazo and billy.lee.jr hiking Ontario Peak. It was my 4th time doing this beautiful peak, but the first time for Billy and Alex, so I was very excited for them to enjoy the views from one of my favorite spots in SoCal 😌
Ontario Peak is a 14 mile hike, reaching the Summit at 8,696 feet. The views from the top are just breathtaking. I do recommend to do this hike and enjoy the gorgeous panoramic 🥾🥾

![One of my favorite adventures this year and the craziest one. I woke up at 2am, drove 5 hours, hikes the 3 first Big Pine Lakes, climbed to Palisades Glacier, to get to my car at 10pm and drive 5 hours back home 🤪
But, let me tell you… it was so worth it…one of the most beautiful places I have seen in California. The Second Lake, probably my favorite, but all the mountains and creeks and other lakes looked unreal😍
