Bianca and Sean successfully melted my heart w this session!! 🥹🥹🥹 Lush gardens, an estate, and these two in love? I was in heaven! 🥰 At one point during this session I blasted Tswifts “love story” as I prompted them to run hand in hand away from me into an open field (for context, Bianca is a fellow swiftie 😂). I really felt like I was watching a movie as the soundtrack played and I watched their love through my lens, it was truly a pinch me moment. I’m so thankful my job allows me to meet such wonderful humans and celebrate them in such a memorable & joyful season of life. Not only that, I have the privilege of gifting them with timeless memories to cherish for generations to come. I’m so excited to share that Ryan and I are expecting a baby girl this January 2026 🎀🥹 We are over the moon about this beautiful miracle & gift from the Lord! We truly cannot wait to meet our sweet girl so soon!! Please note that due to this exciting change in our lives, my 2026 books will look a little different this year. As of now, my books are open starting this May since I will be taking maternity leave whenever she arrives (late Jan or early Feb) through most of April. The weddings I have booked for the spring won’t be impacted by my maternity leave, I will just be taking it slower as I ease into life as a new mom & continued full-time business owner. I’ll never recover from this incredible day!! Not only was this the venue of all of our dreams, Jae & Monica were also the couple of my dreams 🥹😭🤍 I cannot get over just how wonderful they were to serve and celebrate. They spoiled me with kindness, thoughtfulness, and gratitude all weekend, I felt so seen and cared for as their vendor in a way that I will never forget. This was one of those days that reminded me just how thankful & privileged I am to do what I do. It truly felt like God answered every prayer I had for them on this day, He blew me away in several aspects. One of them being that it was supposed to storm all day and instead we were blessed with a cool August day & cloudy skies. Not to mention, the sun chose to pop out during the most precious moments (their first look & for their ceremony). It felt very symbolic—because their love truly is a light to so many. Monicas vision, the weather, & the vendor team couldn’t have come together more beautifully. I will always look back on this day with so much joy and gratitude. Behind the scenes of this DREAMY shoot 👇🏼🥰 Ethan and Somy melted my heart with this session!! I cannot get over how effortless their connection was to capture. 🥹 Documenting your authenticity takes creative forethought, intentionality, and vulnerability on both ends. The two main secrets to capturing your honest love are… ☝🏼- Choosing a photographer you trust as both a friend and artist. ✌🏼- Committing to the experience, remaining present, and letting that photographer do their thing. For example, you’d never guess by looking at these photos that we had to pivot locations last minute (I’m talking a few hours prior) because where we were heading had a high likelihood of storms ⛈️😬 Ethan & Somy were so excited about the original location we decided on, and honestly, I was too. Even with the disappointment I knew we were bound to feel, my gut was telling me we needed to make a change since re-scheduling wasn’t an option for them. Thankfully, when I shared my concerns about the weather and the 2 hour drive ahead of us, they were more than willing to shift plans and trust my suggestion on this impromptu location—and the result could not have turned out more dreamy! 🥹🥰 Thank you to every couple that has been willing to let your walls down with me & trust me to call the shots when things don’t go as planned. Behind the scenes of this photoshoot 👇🏼👀 Liz and Brad decided to take off work & make an entire day out of scheduling their engagement session! They took my advice on making it a date and truly ran with it which made my photographer heart so happy! 🥹🥰 Liz scheduled her hair and makeup trial the same day (genius! & gosh was she gorgeous!), they went wedding band shopping, and stayed after to enjoy dinner + drinks at the restaurant we took their engagement photos. Even before their session, Liz wasn’t afraid to reach out & ask my opinion on outfit inspiration for their shoot. Where are my fellow rule breakers at? 🙋🏼‍♀️ Growing up taking high school & college photography classes I was always taught how to avoid doing most of the above things…😆 Obviously learning the basics and foundational rules of photography are extremely important—but once you know the basics like the back of your hand, it can be so much fun to play around creatively and break rules because you can. Sometimes creating art means not letting industry standards keep you from creating the way you want to. This doesn’t just go for photographers, I think it applies to all of us. A fun fact about this photoshoot…👇🏼🤍 Not only did this engagement session make for the most romantic date, we also scheduled it on their dating and engagement anniversary 🥹 Scott and Lizzy began dating in NYC, and 5 years later he proposed there as an homage to the beginnings of their love story. Documenting their love on this significant day was such a joy. I can’t think of a better way to celebrate 7 years of dating and 1 year of engagement. The dreamiest day on Lake Oconee 🥰 Not only are Ashley and Grant beautiful on the outside (I mean…WOW), but they continue to blow me away with how beautiful their hearts are too 🤍 I walked away feeling SO refreshed and grateful for my job after spending an evening at the lake with these two. After a long winter, it brought me so much joy to be outdoors in Gods creation again for an engagement session. The golden light paired with these two in love??
