Bobby caught me reading and I debated about posting BUT I am just loving this book so much that I want everyone to go out and grab it! Americans no longer know how to shop. Or what it means to shop in a store. Or how it feels to discover the most amazing thing you would never have seen because you are actually in a store. We spent 5 hours yesterday at the designer outlets. Not looking for anything…..but found shoes at louboutin. Jackets at Ralph Lauren. A hat at Prada. Sunglasses and leather pants at Tom Ford. Shoes at Ferragamo. None of which we would have know existed if we had just been looking for “khaki shorts” online.

Get off Amazon and go shop! Like real shopping! 🛍️ 2025-10-10 02:48:39 Bobby caught m.. 55 -93% 8 -92%
Yall, we have blown the budget on this one. But honestly… it’s worth it. Checkout this stunning custom wallpaper that we are going to use in a powder room of a current project.

It’s been a wonderful start to fall. Bobby and I have already done so much this season for work and we always try to enjoy a little quality time mixed in there too. So far we’ve been shopping in Boston, a trip to NYC, a baseball game at Fenway and many amazing dinners. We’ve been so busy with projects I haven’t had a chance to take many photos but I was able to score these few. Let this be a little reminder to stop and enjoy a little self indulgence every now and then. 2025-10-03 18:45:00 It’s been a wonde.. 791 -4% 64 -33%
So many people asked about to chats we have in the design room. This captures perfectly the details that an experienced designer sees and frets over, things that the untrained eye may not see until it’s too late. Go ahead order that rug that’s going to be too big, too small or totally the wrong color. I’m telling you- it happens all the time. Too much stripe. Too little stripe. Too big, too small. Too bold. Too boring. We see it all! 2025-10-01 17:24:45 So many people aske.. 723 -12% 89 -7%
A back of the house look! What goes into planning a room or a house? It always depends on the client and the processes. For this project we started with an Intensive where we looked at everything from fabrics to tile to furniture. From there we layout various vignettes of the pieces and products we pulled and edit it down until we have “the” one.

Sometimes a whole house can take just as long as a single room. In the end the value in hiring a designer really comes from their experience and their expertise In design, as in all things, you get what you pay for. 2025-09-30 00:55:38 A back of the house l.. 922 +12% 48 -50%
Big news in the design world… (and if you are a diehard fan of RH you may want to keep scrolling). Dennis & Leen, long known for their exquisite, French-inspired furniture, has been acquired by Restoration Hardware. While on the surface it sounds like a power move, I can’t help but feel uneasy about it. Dennis & Leen represented true craftsmanship and timeless elegance—things RH has never exactly been known for. Their focus has always leaned more toward scale and branding than quality. I just hope this doesn’t mean the artistry and detail Dennis & Leen was built on will get lost in the shuffle 2025-09-26 19:24:37 Big news in the d.. 3,277 +297% 395 +311%
I love repurposing collections of things for my clients. For this project we wanted something dramatic for the walls and so using the art that was pieced here and there in the house was the perfect option. By doing that we created a signature moment and beautiful statement in the foyer when you first enter the home— but also added interest and design. The collection works well together and makes much more of an impact. I think this pulls the eye up and draws attention to this beautiful staircase.

Soft. Pink. And perfect. This stunning room in a recent project uses various shades of pink in a variety of textures and patterns. Here we really focused on fabrics to layer the space and add interest to the design. The rug is custom to add to the overall aesthetic and complement the fabrics used on the bed and lounge. 2025-09-19 20:33:29 Soft. Pink. And perfect. .. 586 -29% 63 -34%

We are getting super close to being able to instal our Boston project! It’s a historical brownstone that has been completed restored from the dirt to the sky. We went with a very beautiful color palette that will be used throughout the space— but I’m most excited to see how the primary bedroom turns out! Honored to be featured in The Glam Pad this month!

“When it comes to creating “collected” interiors that tell a story, designer Todd Richesin is an expert. Enter Roseglass Farmhouse, a home he originally designed in the early 2000s and has recently refreshed, keeping the essence of the original design while updating it to make it feel more current. The property is a working horse farm that sits on over 400 acres of picturesque landscape in the foothills of East Tennessee. Its exterior displays a culmination of natural greenery and man-made accompaniments which include a large, outdoor, swimming pool and a patioed seating area from which to enjoy the beautiful scenery.”

This is a local love kind of moment. I’m a firm believer in supporting local businesses— especially when they go above and beyond to help people. For years we’ve been debating about what to do with our pool. It needed some updating but we didn’t want to completely redo it. Thankfully exacttile stepped in and helped us and the pool deck has never looked better! 2025-09-05 19:21:56 This is a local l.. 550 -33% 40 -58%

Let’s talk accessories. Everyone comments on my clothes, specifically my belts. Which I find interesting because I’m truly not doing anything out of pocket! I think investing in quality pieces is the key to building a wardrobe you love. Being able to mix and match accessories, pants, shirts and sweaters to maximize looks is key and helps extend the variety. hermes 2025-08-29 19:48:52 Let’s talk accessorie.. 823 -0% 134 +39%
MOUNTAINTOP MODERN✨ When people have a second home or a vacation home, usually they want it to be different from what they experience in their everyday life. We help create places that our clients look forward to being in.

Located near a creek in the Highlands-Cashiers Plateau, this vacation home belongs to a couple who desired a totally different environment than their more traditional permanent residence. Here we created a mid-century, yet contemporary vibe that is airy, light, and cool; a peaceful place for a summer getaway. A painting of dahlias and the wonderful living room drapery together inspired a flowing, watercolor-like color palette for the entire house. Abstract art by a local artist paired with sculptural light fixtures and textured or gleaming furniture by Alfonso Marina contribute to the intimate cocktail-lounge sensibility; spaces where the owners like to entertain in small groups. All the textiles, including custom-designed rugs, are elemental to the visual appeal of the retreat, yet belie the durability and cleanability that accommodates the owners’ German Shepherds.

It’s been a great visit to Cashiers to check on a few projects. We took an amazing private dahlia garden tour with Drew English and High Hampton dahlias. (See the story for a mini tour of these stunning flowers!)

It’s install day! Probably one of my favorite parts of a project. We spend so much time doing design selection, drawing layouts and planning and seeing all that planning and prepping come to life (and working!) is the most rewarding parts, especially when you see how happy all these months of planning makes a client because the spaces become a home!

At one of my favorite showrooms! Visiting the waterworks showroom in Atlanta with a client who is building a new home. One of my favorite projects is being able to work with a client from conception to construction and beyond! ⚠️How to not be a terrible client (truly no matter what industry you’re talking about). If you’re hiring someone you’re hiring them because of their expertise and experience. If you can do it better— you should! The design process should be a collaboration between designer and client. It should be a process that allows for creative conversation and development. If it’s just executing someone else’s vision that kills the art. 2025-08-14 17:30:00 ⚠️How to .. 2,017 +144% 257 +167%
The dream client or project is more about personality. Isn’t any successful relationship really about having fun? The same is true for design. The process of designing a space can be stressful- truth be told! It’s an expense. It can be tedious. It can feel overwhelming. So making sure personalities align helps to make the process less stressful, less overwhelming because at the end of the day you should enjoy it. Never take yourself too serious. Have fun. Laugh. Enjoy the process. Even when it’s stressful.

A quick trip to New York with some friends to enjoy a show and do a little shopping. We’re creatures of habit—once we find a hotel we love, we return every time. But this trip, we were traveling with friends and stayed at thelowellhotel for the first time. It was lovely. The décor and staff were exceptional, and both dinner and breakfast on the property were amazing. I especially appreciated the attention to design detail and the stunning floral arrangements throughout the hotel. We popped into Cartier, and I think I loved the design even more than the jewelry—you’ll see why in the last pic. 😍 Very TODD in aesthetic. 2025-08-11 19:28:26 A quick trip .. 901 +9% 102 +6%
