….And then you blame yourself.
You feel like you’re never enough.

You spend your days controlling your impulses,
trying not to interrupt,
telling yourself “Don’t get distracted, keep focusing on the task”

following social rules that sometimes make your blood boil.

And in the end…
you still feel like you haven’t done enough.

Yes, it’s exhausting.

If you don’t understand your ADHD brain,
you’ll keep repeating the same patterns.
You’ll keep thinking you’re “wrong.”
That maybe it’s better to be alone.
Or not even try at all.

✨ This is where a diagnosis can change your life.

Why?
Because those sentences you just read—maybe not all of them are mine,
but I know so many other ADHDers who have heard them.

Because my brain is different from anyone else’s.
And I’ve spent a lifetime trying to understand how it really works:
my strengths, my limits, my unique characteristics.

The best “cure” is self-knowledge.
Taking care of yourself through therapy, musica and arts, reading, podcasts, studying, sharing.

And that’s why I launched my very first workshop on these themes.
I’ve never done this before.
And in less than a week… it’s basically full.

❤️ If you feel this approach to ADHD could help you,
someone in your family, or your students:

👉 How I start my sessions at Music Tree when kids arrive tired, restless, and unable to control themselves after a full day at school

(NO, I don’t think that every child has ADHD)

Instead of letting them “burn energy” (which usually agitates them even more), I’ll show you how I use songs with clear accents, rhythmic floor work, and body music to calm the nervous system and re-center attention.

This is also a space to ask me anything:
💬 about my personal ADHD journey
💬 about the workshop Conducting the Chaos – ADHD+ (Bologna, Nov 8–9 with flavia_capoano)

⏳ Reminder: EARLY BIRD ends on Sept 22!

Because ADHD doesn’t need more control.
It needs rhythm, direction, and lots of fun.

P.s. This Masterclass will be free for 48 hours and then it will become part of my programs :)

Two years ago, I started creating self-regulation exercises to use at the start of my music sessions.

At first, I thought that helping kids focus after a long day at school meant giving them space to run and “burn off” energy… but I quickly realized that in most cases this just agitated them even more.

👉 What they actually needed was a way to calm their nervous system, re-center, and prepare to enjoy music in a safe, calm atmosphere.

So I asked myself:
✨ “What calms my ADHD brain?”
Not because every child has ADHD, but because it’s about nervous system regulation, sensory overload, and tiredness - all things my neurodivergent brain knows very well.

So yes, running helps me sometimes.
But what really works for me when I’m overwhelmed and tired is:
•	lying on the floor
•	moving rhythmically, twisting or shifting balance
•	exploring unusual movement patterns

That’s when I began integrating 10–15 minutes of this kind of work at the start of my classes — always weaving in the songs I wanted to use later.

Kids thought they were just playing and moving.
But in reality, they were…
👉 regulating their impulses
👉 training attention
👉 preparing their brains for musical learning.

And it works — even (and especially) in a lessons with children with ADHD.

💡 Next Monday at 12.00pm UK I’ll go live to share exactly how I do this in my classes, with concrete examples you can adapt.

⚡ Don’t forget: early bird for the workshop CONDUCTING THE CHAOS - ADHD+ (Bologna, Nov 8–9 with flavia_capoano) ends on Sept 22 (€97).

This is your chance to join us and discover how to transform ADHD management strategies into musical games that really work 🤟

Here’s an example for 5–6 year olds 👇

🎶 Step 1 — Create a clear step-by-step structure
Children with ADHD thrive when activities are built through steps and changing scenarios.
➡️ Start with a short song + movement, with strong and repetitive accents in the melody.

🎶 Step 2 — Add instruments
Instead of asking for “quiet” or “focus,” let them PLAY.
➡️ Invite the kids to move around and highlight the accents of the melody with instruments. This channels energy into motor coordination instead of chaos.

🎶 Step 3 — Change the scenario
➡️ Sit down and shift into something more structured.
Impulse control grows when kids practice waiting and coordinating with others.

🎶 Step 4 — Back to gross motor skills (new scenario again)
➡️ Work on team skills: use synchronized movements to help them feel part of a group. Social skills are one of the hardest challenges for ADHD kids.

🎶 Step 5 — Build success into the game
➡️ Forget stickers and external rewards (if you can!).
A big drum, a group laugh, a silly moment with you — that’s the best reward for a brain that craves dopamine.

🔥 This is how executive functions grow through music: structure + movement + play.

👉 Conducting the Chaos – ADHD+ (Bologna, Nov 8–9 with the psychologist flavia_capoano).
We’ll explore games like this, step by step — from kids to teens to adults.

Because ADHD doesn’t need control.
It needs direction — and lots of fun. 🎶

It took me two years to start sharing in detail the impact of my ADHD diagnosis on my life

not because I felt shy, and not because I was ashamed of receiving a diagnosis of a disorder that is officially recognized as a disability.

The reason I didn’t share these details right away is that, even with a diagnosis, every ADHD is different. Every person grows up differently, with completely different experiences.

So, in these two years - while studying and learning more about ADHD - I also had to rework my own story.

I had to give new meaning to my past.
Day by day I discovered things, pieced together parts of the puzzle, and I’m sure the more I study, the more I’ll understand what truly happened in my past and how ADHD influenced my growth.

Now, I finally feel I have the tools to share this with you, and I’ll do it together with an incredible psychologist and behavioral analyst, Flavia Capoano flavia_capoano , who works every day with children and adults with ADHD.

🎶But we’ll do it differently: we’ll open a space that’s fun, musical, and inclusive.

Together we’ll make music, uncover the details of ADHD, and break down stereotypes and misconceptions around this condition.

At school, children follow the rules and “behave.”
Yes, that means parents are doing their job — but it also means kids are constantly holding back.

Think about it: a full day in a class of 25-30 kids.
👉 Noise, overlapping voices, the teacher talking, hours of sitting still.

Their brain is working overtime to:
⚡️ control movements
⚡️ suppress impulses
⚡️ stay focused even when it’s unnatural

So when they step into your music room, it’s the first place they can finally let go.
Small groups. Freedom to move. A space to explore.

And that’s why parents see sides of their child at your lesson that they don’t see anywhere else.

Now here’s the hard part: explaining this to families.
Opening the conversation about executive functions, emotional wellbeing, and the role of music not just as “an activity,” but as a tool for growth.

That’s exactly what we’re practicing inside The Alliance.
🎶 You’ll watch in real-time how I address these topics with Music Tree families.
🎶 You’ll learn how to frame the uncomfortable truths.
🎶 And you’ll leave with the language and confidence to do the same in your own community.

Because when parents understand, teaching becomes lighter, richer, and far more impactful.

When I look deep inside myself, I realize that everything I’ve done over the past 20 years as a music teacher and facilitator always leads back here: to supporting cognitive functions.

The same functions I’ve felt improving within me—through music.

My research on executive functions started connecting all the pieces of the puzzle… and my ADHD diagnosis finally gave meaning and direction to this journey.

That’s why this workshop isn’t an ending point—it’s the starting point of a lifetime of research and curiosity.

We’re beginning to find answers.
We’re beginning to give ourselves the right meanings.
And above all, we’re creating a safe, inclusive, non-judgmental space to keep learning and understanding, together.

🇮🇹

Cominciamo a darci i giusti significati.
E soprattutto, creiamo insieme uno spazio sicuro, inclusivo e senza giudizio per capire sempre di più.

That’s us. Two women, two different paths, one mission:
to turn chaos into music, creativity, and growth.

Studying music therapy, I realised something important:
the “chaos” in my music classes was never just chaos.

Behind a child who can’t sit still, who interrupts, who seems not to listen…
there’s always a reason.

(And that child was me - obviously!)

But I’ve also seen Matilda at 4, brilliant and creative in my music groups (diagnosed ADHD at 8 yo) losing her confidence when her group in primary school undermined her self-esteem.

I’ve seen Ross, with hearing loss and ADHD, struggle with coordination and memory—yet transform into a creative leader when music turned into improvisation and cooperation.

These children taught me that it’s not enough to simply “manage behavior.”
We need to understand how the brain works and use concrete tools to turn energy into focus, distraction into creativity, chaos into music.

That’s what music did for me.

And this is why

🎯 CONDUCTING THE CHAOS ~ ADHD+

was born

a 2-day workshop I’ll lead together with my dear friend, psychologist and behavioral analyst Flavia Capoano flavia_capoano

📌 Day 1:
Flavia will take us inside ADHD—beyond stereotypes and diagnoses—while I guide you through musical practices (circle music, body percussion, vocal improvisation) so you can feel what it means to work on executive functions.

📌 Day 2:
A continuous flow of theory and practice, with activities you can use right away with children and adolescents to manage energy, foster self-regulation, and make music an inclusive and powerful tool.

This workshop is for teachers, therapists, parents, and adults with ADHD who want practical tools and a new perspective.

Honestly, the results of The Alliance are even more beautiful than I expected.

What’s filling my heart the most is seeing the attention families are giving to the words I’ve shared with them over the past few months. And not just attention — hope.

Because like me, they are realizing that this society is not raising their children in the best way. And if we want them to grow into happy adults, we need to start making concrete choices now.

Of course, as adults we already know life is stressful. Work is demanding. Parenting in 2025 is truly complex. And as teachers, when we step into the classroom, we see it every single day — the struggles so many of our students are facing.

So for me, bringing this topic forward wasn’t just a possibility — it was a duty.

The teachers who are already inside The Alliance are reflecting on this, opening themselves to these conversations every day in the Telegram Group of The Alliance and bringing this change into their own communities.

And you know what? This will also transform their own teaching. Because when communication is open… when both sides want to listen, to understand, to find solutions for the wellbeing of students… then teaching stops feeling like a job.

It becomes what it was meant to be again.
And we, as teachers, are once more valued and appreciated for the incredible work we do every single day.

I align every day with what matters to me.
It’s the only way to share what makes me vibrate, feel alive…
and the only way to manifest it and make it real.

And the same goes for you.

you need to know what you stand for and learn how to bring it out to the world.

The most beautiful thing?
This type of transformation is not happening only to me, but to the people that choose to be in my programs, to improve their teaching and business and create wonderful opportunities for themselves (last slides).

That’s exactly what we’re doing now inside The Alliance.

I chose this song because…

Because its message is timeless:
You gotta be strong. You gotta be bold. You gotta be wiser.

That’s exactly what we want for our children — and for ourselves as parents and teachers.

Music is not just entertainment. It’s a training ground for resilience, patience, listening, and emotional growth.

At Music Tree, every lesson is a space where children learn not just notes, but life skills.

And with The Alliance, I want to show teachers how to bring this message into their own communities.

Because yes — you gotta be tough, you gotta be calm, you gotta stay together.
And music can be the key. 🎵

I decided to launch a parenting course because the perspectives already out there rarely involved music.

🧠And I know the benefits of music from A to Z.

Families who come to Music Tree are already drawn to the idea of music as a meaningful part of their child’s life.
So the chances that they will engage more deeply — to improve their child’s psychological and emotional well-being through music — are much higher.

Parenting courses are essential.
Non-violent communication, child psychology, emotional development… there are so many valuable programs available.

But my insight was to use parents’ existing love for music as the entry point 🎶

A way to help them realize just how dysfunctional our society has become, and why we need to find solutions now.

🔑 And this is where the META-COURSE “THE ALLIANCE” plays a fundamental role.
Not just for families — but for teachers too.

Because there is no other place where you can observe, from the inside, how families react when these conversations happen.

You’ll be able to sit in, join the Zoom calls, and take everything you need from this incredible four-module course on child psychology and emotional development that I’m going to start soon with the MT’s families.

But in The Alliance there is much more than this.

November 2024 – the reality of my school in London, the place where I had poured all my energy for years, was no longer matching my expectations.

When you’ve worked hard for years, pushed yourself beyond your limits, cared for every single detail… but something still doesn’t feel right.

When you open the shutters of your school, or think about your project, and you no longer feel that spark — the excitement that once gave you strength even when you had none left.

👉 That is the moment to stop.
To listen.
To understand yourself.
To allow yourself to be discovered without fear.

Because the answers are already inside you.
But sometimes the fear of finding them — the fear of change — blocks us, and keeps us from living fully.

We think that once we open that little drawer inside, we’ll only find mistakes: wasted years, wasted energy, the feeling of having chosen the wrong path.

But that’s not the truth.
For me, when I open those drawers, I don’t find monsters.
I find new, beautiful secrets to discover — like hidden letters written by your own soul.

And from there, I help you connect the pieces.
To transform “failures” into launching pads for a new version of yourself.

👉 This kind of deep research is what saved my school this year.
For months, I felt completely detached from it.
And yet, right there, I found the answers.

This is exactly what I help you do in MTTT:
to reconnect the pieces inside you, to find new forms, to open new opportunities.

Enrollment closes on the 31st.

It’s time to share.
To speak.
To collaborate.

We chose this work
because we deeply love our students,
their process,
their evolution.

But we cannot do it alone.
And children cannot do it alone either.
They should never be asked to.

Learning.
Failing.
Succeeding.
Ups and downs.
Highs and lows.

It’s a journey that requires three perspectives:
👦 The child’s
👩‍🏫 The teacher’s
👨‍👩‍👧 The parent’s

At Music Tree, I’ve created this space.
Just one little school in Islington, London, daring to say:
“We do things differently — because we care.”

👉 THE ALLIANCE is the meta-course where I share with you:
✨ What it means to be brave and open these conversations
✨ How I intend to support my families and children
✨ The practical steps and daily actions that make it work

Don’t miss the live on Monday 1/09 at 10:00am UK time —
where I will tell you all about it.

And in the meantime… wish me luck for the first call with parents.

I built a school from scratch, in a new city, with only a very basic level of English.
But I knew exactly what I was doing in my music classes, using the skills I had developed over 20 years of teaching. Music Tree is the proof of my expertise.

I connected with my students and their families through my voice, with non-verbal games for the children, and by building relationships that will last a lifetime.

In the last couple of years, the school has grown exponentially, and some families started treating it like just another after-school activity.
But I’m sorry (not sorry): we’re not.

I had to open uncomfortable conversations with them, pointing out situations they didn’t want to face:
	•	Kids hitting each other
	•	Throwing instruments
	•	Running around with little or no control

It’s not easy to say this to a parent who doesn’t believe in your role or value your experience.

And this isn’t just about my school. It happens at every level of education. It happened to my mother, who taught in secondary school for 40 years. It happens to my colleagues in primary schools. And it happens in most countries on this planet.

Well, I’m officially done with it. Not only for us teachers, but for the children.

Today, my school has a waiting list, so I can choose who joins. And my only filter is this: listening skills.

I am the expert in my school. I am surrounded by other incredible educators, including psychologists and therapists.

“Knock at our door and you’ll find a wonderful world ready to welcome you. But from now on, we listen to you only if you listen to us, mum or dad.”

Next Monday I’ll open a new META-COURSE, where you’ll be able to follow and learn the day-by-day process that is transforming Music Tree into a Holistic Music School.

It started during my mentoring.
More and more teachers were asking me for support: “I can’t manage my students anymore. What’s happening?”

Then my own team at Music Tree:
“I honestly don’t know how to support the children any more than I already am.”

And finally, it was my turn.
Kids who couldn’t focus on their instruments.
Kids who struggled to sit in a circle for 5 minutes.
Kids who couldn’t stay in line for more than a minute.

What was going on?

I had never seen this before. The shift was massive.
And no — let’s stop blaming COVID. The truth is, the society we are raising our children in is reshaping them, and not for the better.

That was my line in the sand.
Not in my school. Not under my watch.

It was time to raise questions. To open conversations with families.
I started with one-to-one calls. Then group calls. Some parents welcomed the support. Others left.
“I don’t want to hear this from an afternoon activity.”

Cool. Then this is not your place.

Because I didn’t create Music Tree to be another after-school activity.
I created it to support families through music, to build resilience, and to make a difference.

And I know I’m not alone in this.

🔥 I’m transforming Music Tree. 🔥

You already knew I didn’t want to just teach music.

Now, I’m taking the next step:

creating a space where parents grow, feel, explore, and discover themselves in this new dimension of adulthood.

Where music becomes their choice to prepare their children for life, giving them life skills, teaching them to face frustration, building resilience, and supporting their mental health.

The steps to take on this challenge are many:

rethinking recitals and traditions,

designing weekly routines that respect children’s energy

Using music to be a tool for resilience, growth, and joy, inside and outside of school.

But also courses designed specifically for parents, events that nourish this mindset, this way of being.

Some families will feel challenged, triggered — I know this. Some will never let go.

But i know I can turn this dream into reality: Music Tree is not just a music school, it’s a space to grow, together, as parents, as children, as humans.

Stay tuned

Yes, my life has changed immensely since I started teaching. Can you say the same?

What I know for sure is that Music Tree is — and will always be — just one piece of my life and career. I have other ambitions, new fields to explore, more expansion and discovery ahead of me.

In 2021 I opened the new home of Music Tree, moving from my living room into a venue that costs over £4K a month just to open its doors and switch on the lights.

And yes, today I’m talking numbers — because those matter too (no, I’m no longer that type of teacher doing charity work with only £1,000 sitting in the bank).

But what happens inside Music Tree, the energy that flows between people, the trust and sense of belonging among the teachers — that’s something you can’t measure.

And I am grateful for it every single day.

In September, we’ll reopen completely renewed, especially in spirit — more conscious, more mature, stronger than ever. And I’ll share that story with you, little by little.

For now, I’d love to invite you to the Winter Retreat, which will take place right here at Music Tree.
✨ Registrations are open until 31/08, send me a DM to join.

Come and recharge your energy, singing barefoot with me 🤩

My father ran a restaurant.
He worked 16 hours a day, almost every single day of the week.
And my mother, my sister and I? We helped. After school. On weekends. Holidays.
We were always on call.

On the other side, my mother was a teacher.
Fixed hours. Fixed holidays. No real freedom, no real choice.

For me, neither of these paths felt sustainable.
But I also knew I wasn’t in the financial position to simply choose the life I wanted.

So I worked. Hard. From a very young age.
And slowly, I started to build a life that would support me.
A life designed not only around what I love, but also around what would make me feel well — mentally, emotionally, financially.

And today? That life supports me back.
Right now, I am in Scotland, supporting my family through some serious health challenges.
And because of the freedom I’ve built for myself, I can dedicate my time to them fully.
Without losing money.
Without losing my position.
Without losing myself.

This is the real gift: a life that lets me show up for the people I love, when it truly matters.

And I did it all through teaching music.
From literally zero in my bank account.
Always, always doing what lights me up.

This is also what we talk about in Music Tree’s international training.
Not only pedagogy and methodology, but the life choices that make you feel good, that support you, that sustain you.

Because being a music teacher is not just about teaching.
It’s about creating a life where you can thrive.

🚪MTTT’s new season will start in September. The door to join this incredible journey will close on the 31/08.

Roots and Wings.
Stability and Transformation.
Spring and Autumn 🌱🍂

We can be both. We can be duality.

This is the spirit of MTTT.

People who, like me, wanting to learn how to embrace their own design.
Some are finding strength in stability, others in movement — and most are discovering they can be both.

That’s why when I read the reflections of MTTT participants — the collaborations, the connections, the new energy they’ve found — I feel emotional.

Because this is the harvest. This is Autumn.
This is the fruit of what we planted together in the Spring.

I chose to work with my Music Tree students just two days a week — Wednesdays and Thursdays — so I could dedicate the rest of the week to new projects: retreats, online work, collaborations, and travel.
I shaped a life that allows me to be both rooted and free.

This didn’t happen by chance. I worked hard, with strategy - but mostly by listening to my instincts.

📆 10 more days to join MTTT.
I’m not like the other mentors and you’re not like any other student ❤️ 2025-08-21 20:52:20 .. 16 -43% 0 -100%
Until now, most music education training was about theory. About methods. About technique.

But we go further.
Here, we look at energy.
At identity.
At mission.
At who you really are as a teacher.

Because your teaching is not just a set of tools —
it’s the reflection of your inner world.

Your students don’t just learn from your knowledge.
They learn from your presence.
From the way you carry your vision.
From the courage you show when you choose to stay true to your voice.

That’s what MTTT is.
Not just training.
But a revolution in how you see yourself,
and how you share your gifts with the world.

🌀 Are you ready to step into this space?

Join MTTT New Season before the 31st August - the window won’t reopen soon 😉
