If I had to lose 20-25lbs all over again this is what I would do the second time around: 

I would focus on:

✅ Keeping breakfast the same 

✅ Eat high protein meals with plenty of veggies for fiber and some healthy carbs

✅ Lifting heavier each week with my lifts, or do more reps when I can’t

✅ Aim to hit 7-10k steps a day, and finish off my workouts with cardio if I am behind on my activity 

✅ Plan my weekend dining so I can enjoy myself without going off the rails

And most importantly, I’d make sure the process is enjoyable and not to beat myself up if scale isn’t going the way I want it to.

Sweet Potato Beef Taco Bowl Recipe 🍠🌮

If you want an easy high protein dinner then make these taco stuffed sweet potatoes.

Ingredients
1 sweet potato
4oz lean ground beef (seasoned with taco seasoning)
1/4 cup Greek yogurt mixed with 1/4 avocado
Pico de gallo + cilantro (if you can handle the devil’s lettuce)

Instructions:
1. Poke holes in sweet potato and microwave for 8-10 minutes
2. Start cooking lean ground beef seasoned with taco seasoning
3. Mix Greek yogurt, 1/4 avocado + salt + pepper 
4. Split open sweet potato and mash it with fork
5. Top with pico de gallo and enjoy!

Stop making these mistakes with your lateral raises if you want to build your shoulders ❌

❌  Shrugging at the top
❌  Doing with your arms straight out to the side
❌  Bending your arms up at the top

Instead:
1. Soften your elbows and lead with your pinkies and wrists.
2. And just raise it up to parallel with your arms slightly in front of you.
3. Flex your delts hard at the top, then lower all the way under control before you do another rep.

This will keep tension in your shoulders so you end up actually working your delts 💪

You’re mostly momentum and not really working the muscles because there’s no tension.

Instead do this:

1. Tuck your tailbone and press your lower back into the pad

2. Then raise it up to parallel and flex your abs hard

3. Lower all the way under control before you do the next rep

Movements like the squat to press or lunge to curl aren’t effective because of the weight used.

You can’t go heavy enough to build strength or muscle with either movement at once.

Instead do them separately with a heavier weight

When you swing and use momentum you’re not fully working them
 
Instead, do this:

1. Sit back into the pad.
2. Extend your legs and flex your quads hard at the top.
 3. Then lower all the way back down under control.

This is going to keep tension in your quads and you’ll feel them a lot more
