![I actually love how brave and bold the previous owner of this house was and was inspired by her unapologetic choices. She lived here for many decades and was not afraid of colour 😊 Painted ceiling? Yes please! Pink on pink? Absolutely! We are keeping the original features but making it a bit more me, while still a bit of her can be present and not forgotten. And this is one of the guest bedrooms, I have a few more to go 😅
Seeing the before and after pictures makes me a bit more optimistic with this long and slow renovation process. It’s a big and never stopping job and living here during can be pretty draining. But ultimately the results make me feel like it’s worth it. Ask me again tomorrow, though when builders arrive to insulate downstairs floors 🫣

![I think this is probably my favourite corner of the house. I love how it transitions from blue to mustard stripes and if you look closely you’ll see there are actually tiny blue dots in that wallpaper too.
That being said the room rarely looks so clean and I wish I could say it’s from all the dining room entertaining I do (lies 😅), but it’s mostly from all the crafts and DIYs I use the table for. If you scroll you’ll see how it looks right now. Can you guess what this will be for?

![✨pink-to-pink bedroom glow-up✨ Ad.
When we moved in, this bedroom was a hot pink mess. Fun? Yes. Livable? …not so much 😬 And while I could easily vibe with this pink, it needed a fresher spin that still felt vibrant, but also kept the traditional elements.
It’s a guest bedroom and I wanted to have it ready for my parents’ visit. You know how much I love a painted ceiling moment and this was a great chance to introduce some warm pinks. I turned to rustoleumuk for some great paint options. I used their Chalky Wall Paint in Salmon on the ceiling, Coral on the walls and the wardrobe makes a statement in a deep olive green, Greencroft (Interior Wood Paint in Matt).
All still colourful and bold, but with a whole new personality😊💛

![I saw a Reel or a TikTok of a husband organising a birthday gift for his wife and I’ve never been so jealous.. He rented a party van for her and her friends and planned a trip for them to stop at the best vintage places and made a day out of it. Wine, snacks and vintage treasures with no time pressure. I would tag or share it, but was too jealous and petty to like or save it 🫣

![Opening up this wall was such a good idea and I have no regrets! The only thing is, it can get pretty cold in the winter. We already replaced the bay windows and floor needs to be insulated, some rugs won’t hurt either..
But being able to enjoy the colour combos daily, and just the open feeling of it all, while still keeping period character, was the goal here.

![I’m getting that wallpaper itch again 🫣 I’m currently finishing with one of the bedrooms, great colours, wall panelling for days.. But for my next project I’m thinking wallpaper. One of my favourite things to do is half panelling with a bold wallpaper, so I think I’ll do that next. Obsessing over chinoiserie inspired designs or just bold colourful florals maybe. ![Just a quick update on the windows 😊 When we moved in we had these single glazed ones that were painted shut. At first I painted them same colour as walls and ceilings to really go with the colour drenching effect.. But when it comes to deciding on replacing them, I wanted to go with white to have a more timeless look. It’s not completely finished yet - you can swipe to see, but I will be sharing once it’s done. I actually think it this scenario white will work better 😊 But what are your thoughts? Would you order coloured ones if you were replacing?

![Just came back from Poland, where we stayed in our little holiday home. ![✨Kitchen glow-up✨ Ad. I’m obsessed with how my kitchen turned out using makeitrustoleum products — the new colours totally transformed the space and gave it a fresh look.
I wanted to go a little darker while keeping the traditional vibes to match the cabinets. Since they had knots, I used zinsseruk B-I-N AQUA Primer first, then applied this amazing deep cherry red shade, called Valentina. I also used their new plaster pink on the walls and ceiling - Smitten 🌸
I reused the same handles, just gave them a little refresh too.
It was such a fun and impactful project. Kitchen renovations can be really costly, but that doesn’t mean you can’t do something to feel better about what you already have and make it your own. It’s also a great opportunity to go a little bolder with your choices.

![What can I say.. I love a good painted ceiling moment. I’m playing with colour drenching a lot lately, but I’m also itching for a feature ceiling. Strong colour maybe, different from the walls. One of the bedrooms could be good for that.
In other news they’ll be replacing our original single glazed sash windows next week and I’m super excited. It’s one costly investment and I wish it had a bigger visual impact, but that’s just the reality of renovating an old Victorian house 😅

favershammarkets I believe their antique market is held every first Sunday of the month. Amazing finds and make sure you visit local charity shops too. If if you really want to make the day out of it, go to Whitstable and enjoy your seaside walk too
hackneyfleamarket I love the one in Peckham. Packed with fantastic sellers. And just next door you have vintiquelondon for some mid century furniture hunting
One of my favourite huge charity shops is Emmaus in Wallington and just next door there’s a cute vintage store called All Sorts, where I recently found very rare fish plates.

![So here’s my absolute favourite framing hack 💛 You could ether paint the mounts or even the back of the frame. If you use your wall colour (either have leftovers or buy a small sample pot) you can make the frames look transparent for that colour drenching look. You can also make the art more cohesive with the rest of the room/decor. If your frames aren’t matching, this will also help it look more planned.
It’s super easy and can really be effective!

![Hanging plates will forever be one of my favourite things to do. You can always add a pretty plate or 7 even 😅 These are vintage Carltonware plates and they give me all the Spring vibes, but I can easily see hanging something else in that corner when the mood changes. During Christmas period I had a chunky colourful paper chain there, and after removing it it felt super empty. There was another reason to hang something there, but I’ll show you on my stories 😉 This room still needs more, but all good, it’s a process.
