This may be an unpopular opinion, but although I find both products to be effective, I’m not sold on all the hype. This is a #kbeauty line, but at $34 (6.76oz) for the cleanser and $45 for the moisturizer (1.7oz), I expect more. I have other products (at various price points) that I enjoy much more for these two steps in my routine. Nothing wrong with either product, they do their job as stated, but I’m just a bit whelmed. These are some of my most used eye and cheek products. ✨The Chanel quad is from 2017??? It is my most perfect neutral go-to. About to hit pan on top right. ✨Tom Ford’s Forbidden Pink is just perfect. I honestly use my fingers to apply, then buff with a brush. The (left) brown is perfection! There are a couple holiday items that I’ve had my eye on. This limited edition set by merit is one (Dress Code Set, $58). I love that there are three NEW shades and a new finish (lip blush). Colors are Bespoke (satin), Black Tie (matte) and Du Jour (blush). Merit does lipstick very, very well. These are three very wearable shades and I think Black Tie )deep burgundy) is my favorite! A very long time ago, my dad was a model for Saks. One of the brands he modeled and spoke about was Pucci. It stuck in my head and I’ve always had an affinity for the Marmo print. I have been on a multi-year quest to find a replacement for the kiehls Coriander fragrance. It is sadly long gone 😫 I tried the City release by LeLabo, but that was too sweet. I saw this Sunshine set ($150), which featured Coriander, at Blue Mercury and decided to try it. The packaging is lovely and bright ☀️ and the deluxe minis are a great testing size. At first spray, each one is amazing, including Coriander. Absolutely lovely! The problem? None of them last. I feel that they evaporate from my skin in about 30 minutes (tops). I am disappointed because a) three minis were $150 and b) these all smell so good and I want them to last. glossier gifted me their new Crème de You (7.2 fl oz, $45) and I just finished it. I’ve seen a lot of comments regarding the scent and I have to say, it smells like their fragrance, You. I found the scent lovely and the packaging is very nice (weighty and I will repurpose). It also has the little, finger imprint like the fragrance bottle. I found that it sat a bit too long on my skin and pilled a bit on damp skin, but it did hydrate and the scent lasted. I’m not going to review the new Chanel Ombré Essentielle shadows (I ❤️ them!), but I did want to pull some similar and/or complimentary Chanel products out of my archive. It was the creamy/silky texture that made me curious: 📍who remembers the Ombré Premiere Top Coat in 317 Carte Blanche and 327 Penombre? The latter I hit pan! I love how these (still) feel…silky smooth. 📍one of my favorite releases was the 342 Lumiere et Opulence. Year round beauty and the shadows are creamy and silky. This is several years old and feels perfect. 📍and 332 Noir Supreme is dramatic and gorgeous. Like the ones noted above, creamy. Both he 342 and 332 have great pigmentation and blend like a dream. Obviously, I am someone who holds onto beautiful products. I would love to see Chanel release more quads similar to these two. I recently purchased the frenshe body wash and candle target I ❤️ the Palo Santo Sage scent!! Do I look ridiculous? Absolutely! Do I use the LED mask by drdennisgross as much as I should? Absolutely not. This device is wonderful when you use it consistently. I am trying to get back into the 3-minute per day practice. When I use it consistently, my skin just looks a bit…better (better, more even tone). Oh, and it’s finally cold in the Northeast! I haven’t bought a full-size fragrance in a while mainly because I ❤️ fragrance and I have many (many) bottles. I’ve been more apt to purchase travel size versions in the last few years. Paradoxe, by pradabeauty was a surprise hit for me. I say “surprise” mainly because their first scent, Candy, was not for me. I received a sample of Paradoxe in an order and fell in love. Definitely more of a fall/winter scent (to me), it is described as “feminine floral, floral ambery and dominating notes of neroli and jasmine.” It is not too sweet (for reference, I cannot tolerate gourmand fragrances) and nicely warm. So why a full-size? aheatedmess featured the “bag with purchase” in one of her stories. I’m a sucker for a nice beauty bag and I just loved the way this one looked (sidenote: in person, it’s a very nice bag and seems durable). Also…..I had a 15% coupon ultabeauty and points, which brought the $152 price tag down to $4. 🤗 I believe they still have this gwp offer. Has anyone else tried this fragrance?
