![If I had to rank them, picking baby girls name would def be in my top 5 biggest parenting fails.
To be honest with her being born early I think we simply were not ready to pick a name and the amount of pressure they put on you to pick a name before you leave the hospital really should be studied.
I mean new parents are tired, moms are recovering, hopped up on meds and in pain do you really think this is the best time to be making life long choices hahahah.
Anyway all the stress of the delivery and pending postpartum preeclampsia mixed with the fear of going home with a baby that had no name forced us to pick one we didn’t love for her just to go home.
And honestly regretted every single day 😵💫
But 4 months later, the girl finally has a name.

I remember this day like it was yesterday. It was the second test I had taken in 2 months and I was completely prepared for the devastating “not pregnant” to show up on the screen again like it had the month before and I sat quietly crying in the bathroom alone.

![In an Instagram world full of reels about breast milk over suppliers, pump and pours, deep freezers packed with thousands of Oz of breast milk and babies that breastfeed with no issues from day one.
It can feel pretty lonely if you’re making just enough milk for your baby, struggling to make any at all or simply having trouble getting the hang of breast feeding.
These past few months I’ve felt alone, stressed and inadequate to say the least and while we’ve had some good moments most days are a struggle and I’m left in tears feeling like my body is incapable of doing one of the most natural things for a new mom.
Will we continue to try and make this work? Maybe, but one thing I know for sure this breastfeeding/pumping thing is hard, especially if you don’t have support.
And for the mamas struggling to push through and most pumps only getting drops, I see you.
