《Atlanta Travel Guide🍑 》Sister trip in Atlanta coming in HOT!!! Atlanta, Georgia’s vibrant capital, is where Southern charm meets urban cool. For first-timers, expect a city that’s equal parts heritage and hustle. My sister Mira has been to Atlanta SIX times and she crushed it at as our tour guide/planning our three days and I’m so excited to share her itinerary with y’all!

🛏️ STAY: Atlanta is BIG so we stayed in the centrally-located Midtown to do more. We loved our time at the trendy high-rise thestarlinghotel with all the amenities including a pool, speakeasy, and on-site coffee. It’s also connected to a food hall called Colony Square.

📷 SEE: Atlanta has so many green spaces! If you’re in Midtown, Piedmont Park is a must. Olympic Centennial Park is close to sights like World of Coca-Cola, an interactive museum dedicated to the America’s fave soda, or pop into the world famous Georgia Aquarium right across the street.

🍽️ EAT: Eat around the world at Ponce City Market but my top recc is botiwallaatlanta . New to southern food? Then head to marymacstearoom , hailed as Atlanta’s Dining Room. They’re known to have the best banana pudding in town! We also loved our brunch at flying.biscuit.cafe and I could have eaten all those green tomatoes.

☕ DRINK: Atlanta’s coffee scene took me by surprise. All the cafes I visited were so intentionally thought-out third-spaces: Academy Coffee operating out of kinshipbutcher_atl ), larakinatl (which is also a tinned fish and wine bar), spillerpark , and lth_atl working directly with independent coffee farmers in Rwanda.

🍺 CHILL: Throwback Pabst Blue Ribbon by the pitcher at moesandjoesatl a dive bar and the US’ #1 seller of the PBR lager. To keep the night going, the underground has tons of clubbing options. Pro-tip: We bought tickets for MJQ in advance to skip the line!

【SOMEWHERE IN THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST 】BIRTHDAY GIRL COMING IN HOT! 🌞 I blinked and now find myself joyously 3️⃣5️⃣ — and halfway into my thirties! Time has been going by sooo fast and with only a few more hours to spare as July 24 winds down, I’m in my feels so happy to be alive, loved, supported, and exploring the world with the same passion and ability that I had a decade ago. Thank you for sticking around for yet another year of great adventures and good times. Something tells me that 35 will be a transformative year and I’m eagerly awaiting all its surprises. ALSO I am freshly returned from a summer roadtrip through the PNW with sunsoaked memories, a belly full of glorious eats, and a whole lot of special places to gush about. Can’t wait to share all the sights and scenes so 🔜!

【SOMEWHERE IN NYC】I’m still replaying the joy of sheswanderful ‘s Women in Travel Summit aka witsummit aka the largest gathering of female travel creators in the world!!! This three-day conference held in downtownnyc this year filled up my cup in ways I didn’t even know I needed. This is my second WITS and I wholeheartedly believe it is an investment in yourself as it is a way to network and support your peers. I didn’t realize how stagnant I felt in my creativity until reuniting with fellow creators who rekindled my love of storytelling. WITS is a playground for learning, fun, and most importantly, community! Scroll through this carousel to follow along on the recap:

MY HIGHLIGHT REEL OF WITS
🗽 Getting to experience corners of NYC that I’ve missed in past ventures (I’m looking at your Downtown NYC) since I tend to stick to the Lower East Side.
👩🏻‍🤝‍👩🏾 Being surrounded by WOMEN who love to travel and aren’t afraid to show it! There were so many reunions but also got to meet a few role models too like ncolphillip eileen_ivette doseoftravel and niknakvargas !
🇵🇭 Spending time being unapologetically loud with my Phila-queens avagailadventures joelle_theresee lainflight racheloffduty claudeenonthego and travel_with_cherryl
🏳️‍🌈 Taking a workshop on how to lead my own tours (I’m looking at you Philly!) with the most colorful tour guide kiariladyboss
🚴🏽‍♀️ Zipping through the city and realizing just how underrated NYC’s bike lanes are
🍉 The informative sessions that didn’t shy away from hard topics like talking about the responsibility ofour hearts in a world under fire with insearchofperfect and dr.anutaranath
🏆Winning the Bessie Award in the “Most Impact Piece of Writing” category after being nominated by my girl theawkwardtraveller who first came with me to WITS Puerto Rico in 2023 and looking out onto a crowd of faces brimming with joy. Also got to see my friend thesojournies win the Trailblazer award!

I cannot wait for next year’s WITS in Chattanooga, TN!! And if you’re on the fence, this is your sign to do it!!

《Asian-Owned Spots in Philly》Did you know? 7.8% of Philadelphia's 1.6 million population are Asians and 11% of Philadelphia's small businesses are Asian-owned according to the 2022 U.S Census. As we wrap up #AAPINHH month, I wanted to share some lesser-known Asian-owned Philly eateries and coffee shops. This list was so difficult to put together because of the amazing wealth of Asian-owned businesses in the city. But I’m hoping this is just the start of sharing even more places/spaces I love from my community! And if this exercise showed anything, it’s that no matter where you are in the city, you’ll find corners of Asian joy and creativity. And this is just another reason why I love Philly so much. ❤️

🇵🇭 babysphl: Modern Filipino all-day service (Brewerytown)
🇯🇵 yanaga_kappo_izakaya : Japanese izakaya and sushi (NoLibs)
🇻🇳 dripvietcafe: Vietnamese Coffee (Chinatown)
🇰🇭 mawnphilly: Cambodian Noodle House (Italian Market)
☕️ jiggy.coffee: Specialty Coffee w/ accommodating menu (Washington Square)
🍪 tangsbakery : pop-up only so follow their insta to see where they’ll appear next!
🇵🇭 tabachoyphilly : Filipino fusion (South Philly)

Also if you don’t see more of Chinatown, it’s because your girl needs a whole separate reel for that! Other notable mentions are capheroasters , forincafe , persimmoncoffee, majdalbakery , and thegroundcpg !

Please share your favorites so that I can add them to my summer bucket list!

【SOMEWHERE IN LONDON】Back from London and the only remedy for post vacation blues is to drop a brand new “Postcard from Home!” Celebrating Bankside — one of the coolest neighborhoods in Central London packed with a number of tourist darlings (think The Shard, Shakespeare’s Globe, the Tate Modern… all the good stuff!) Here’s a guide for Bankside, which you could easily spend the full day exploring. For extra fun, pop over this side of the Thames by way of Uber Boat. 🇬🇧

◉ Tourist Circuit 🛏️ Enjoy the Queen’s Walk alongside the Thames strolling up to Tower Bridge, walk into the free! Tate Modern art museum and make a beeline to Farah Al Qasimi’s photographic work, cross the iconic Millennium Bridge with St. Paul looming in the background, and get some grub at Borough Market (but try to visit as early as possible since the crowds are overwhelming).

◉ On My Plate 🍽 If you can handle the heat, eat some Northern Thai BBQ from khaobird nestled right in Borough Market. humblecrumble pays tribute to England’s most nostalgic desert, the crumble. akara.london is a West African restaurant that was cindy_thi_explorer’s favorite meal in London.

◉ Watering Holes 🍸 Ready to be transported back in time? Let the doormen know you need to ship a parcel at cahootslondon , a 1940s post office themed bar with an extensive lineup of gimmicky cocktails that are worth the GBP in production value.

◉ Night Out 🪩 For music devotees, amazinggraceldn is a 19th-century church turned live music destination with DJs and a fun photo booth hidden in the basement. A fail safe for a fun night on the town!

◉ In my suitcase 🧳 Paddington bear squishpillows, Fortnum and Mason cookies (the tins inspired this postcard!), Percy Pig gummies from M&S, and Daunt Book mini totes.

《Somewhere in Philly》RUN DON’T WALK to get one of fabiolitadraws coveted mini Philly prints at a vending machine pop-up in bodiephilly . 🖼️

Local artist Fabiola Lara set up these machines herself with all the prints made in Philly. The coin-operated machine takes 4 quarters and is located next to the cash register. If you don’t have change, just ask the cashier to make change. These prints change constantly so all the prints are limited edition. You can get as many prints as you like but stick to one lane if you’re looking for a certain print. And don’t forget to stick around and peruse Bodie’s amazing selection of eccentric home goods and stationery. It’s one of my fave places to do shopping hauls 🛍️

Being selected as a 2025 finalist for the Bessie Awards in the Most Impactful Piece of Writing category was not on my bingo card… ever. But here I am letting this moment sink in. I don’t know how many times I read the letter notifying me of the news but that I get to attend witsummit again, surrounded by so many of my peers and friends in travel who have also been on similar content creation journeys IS the true gift!

The Most Impactful Piece of Writing Category is for an inspiring, engaging, and community-oriented piece of writing that has encouraged dialogue and interaction in the last year. The other two nominees are just incredible bodies of work and I feel so deeply honored to be in league with this level of storytelling and reflection.

Thank you to the sheswanderful team for continuing to amplify diverse voices in the travel space and for flashpack, a travel company that offers small group adventures for solo travelers aged 30+, for giving me a platform to tell my story. I’m indebted to the people who saw value in this piece and know what a privilege it is that I get continue to explore the world even in this season of my life.

Voting is now open until next Friday, Feb. 28th for past WITS attendees (no matter the year you attended)!!! But I already feel like a winner — truly, the sentiment is more than enough! NYC here I comeeeee! 🫶🏽🍎🚕

【SOMEWHERE IN SPAIN】 With the cold—and the colds— setting in, I’m transporting myself to a warmer #postcardontheroad in Seville where the temps were hot, but the vibes were even hotter. 🔥From flamenco beats to orange tree-lined streets, this city sizzles in more ways than one. If you can’t take the heat, Sevilla shines in May during the Feria de Abril, a weeklong flamenco-filled frenzy with music, dance, bullfighting, and all night drinking. 🇪🇸

◉ Secret gem 🔹The bizarre mushroom shaped landmark, Setas de la Encarnacion, comes to life at night with its Aurora lightshow. Take the elevators up to the upper level and enjoy the sunset over the city.

◉ On my plate 🍽 Go on an expert led “tapeo” (tapas crawl) with devourtours in the province that started Spain’s favorite pastime.

◉ Coffee Fix ☕️ Get the “espresso de hoy” at syracoffee dripped by the most passionated baristas and for coffee as good as its food, parceriacafe impresses on both fronts.

◉ Somewhere Nice 🌞 Barrio Santa Cruz, formerly the Jewish Quarter, and the Triana neighborhoods are the best places to wander and get lost. Pick up ceramics in Triana for the best souvenirs!

◉ Cool digs 🛏️ Boutique adults-only Hotel Halo wins when it comes to its location, offering the best view of Seville’s most famous monuments. For a more local experience, check into Lumbreras16 in the Alameda area, just meters from the oldest public garden in all of Europe.

《 The Next Somewhere in… Tulum, Mexico 🇲🇽🇲🇽》
Tulum is calling… again! 🌴✨ Rediscovering this eco-chic tourism hotspot known for its bohemian resorts, magical cenotes, and cerulean seas. I have a special place in my heart for Tulum where me and my girlfriends were balling on a budget for my bachelorette party in 2019. Five years later, I’m back for a little Riviera Maya Reboot with GoTulumTravel, leveling up my initial girls’ getaway experience with the experts on all things Tulum!

📍 Day 1: Check into a chic La Veleta villa or boutique hotel. Catch the sunset at the Tulum Ruins. Go to no-frills taco stands in El Centro for some local flavors.

📍 Day 2: Dive into three mystical cenotes in the Chemuyil, soak up sun & style at a beach club lunch, and end with a dreamy dinner at one of Tulum’s many fine dining spots (make those reservations) 🌞✨

📍 Day 3: Yoga and Yachts! Squeeze in a back bend and some deep breaths before chartering a private catamaran because what’s Tulum without a day on the water? Recharge in style with gourmet meals and unlimited drinks. Good vibes ALWAYS included. 🚤🌊

【SOMEWHERE IN MEXICO】 Dive into the magic of Tulum’s cenotes! 🧜‍♀️✨ Mystical limestone caves, crystal-clear waters, and a splash of adventure – it’s nature’s ultimate swimming pool! Who’s ready to take the plunge?

↠ Cenotes are freshwater sinkholes scattered all around Yucatan peninsula. The ancient Mayans believed these pools were portals to the Mayan underworld. Today, these fragile ecosystems are a must on Tulum itinerary (but only if done right!) and thanks to the expertise of gotulumtravel , I was able to see some of the most unique cenotes while reinvesting back into the local community.

🚐 Half Day Tour with Go Tulum:
Visit Chemuyil, a small beachfront town in the Mayan Riviera, where you will discover 3 unique cenotes. This private tour includes underwater photos taken by your local guide, a lunch prepared by local Mayan women and door-to-door private transportation.

《Fine Dining Filipino Food in NYC》 Happy Filipino American History Month! I traveled all the way to NYC on a random day just to eat at this restaurant 🇵🇭✌🏽

📣 tadhana_nyc in the Lower East Side | $$$$
For my first ever fine dining experience, my friend David joined me for a fateful night at Tadhana, NYC’s newest entry to the Filipino food scene. Chef Frances Tariga takes diners on a 14-course culinary journey through the Philippines with some random twists and turns. The road was familiar and new all at once. If you hear OPM <Original Pinoy Music> at a Filipino restaurant, you know this place is legit. As we made our way through the memory evoking flavors, I was instantly transported to my childhood in Manila and that was my favorite part of the meal and ofc knowing davidsthai is always ready to eat with me. 10/10 for experience, vibes, company, and a HUGE thank you to cheffrances ’ for letting us all be part of your American dream. Seeing excellence like this makes me so proud to be Filipino 🥹

【SOMEWHERE IN SPAIN】 I honestly had no intention of posting today but then one of my close family friends 35mmlam gifted us with some prints of my sister’s wedding in Spain this August and I was moved to create a little homage to the most important people in my life.

Whenever I go quiet on this platform, it’s because I’m present in the demands of the day-to-day focused on real world joys & this summer has been filled with so much goodness! I just entered my third year of parenthood with a daughter that is healthy and so full of love. I’m finally taking steps towards bettering mental health as someone who lives with complex ptsd. I’m catching up w/ loved ones and prioritizing community. And my autoimmune issues have been somewhat manageable. Overall, I’m hoping that the recalibrations I’m making outside of this space allow me to bring a better version of myself to this platform. And yes, more adventures are on the horizon! That’s all, thanks for listening and looking at these photos from an extremely talented photographer. You’re the best Lam! xx

《Tapas Crawl in Sevilla》 Did you know there are over 3,000 tapas restaurants in Sevilla? And did you also know that tapas, the culinary tradition of eating small plates with friends and drinks, was supposedly born in the province of Andalusia? Because of these two things, I knew I had to go the professional route when trying to understand Spain’s edible history. Enter: devour_tours recommended by my good friend wheretarawent.

Devour Tour’s Tapas and Taverns History Walk was easily the most memorable and most fun food tours I’ve ever been on. Not only did I get to have a mom’s night out with my best cousin friend gomezesgoplaces , I got lucky with our other tourmates feat. the most joyful sisters duo kerrystenzler and memeflan and our incredibly passionate and educated tour guide confritura leading our group through a tinto de verano-charged evening. For all you pork and wine lovers, this tour is definitely for you!

Here’s what I learned about Devour’s Spain foodie operations:
➡️ Most of the guides build an itinerary based on the relationships they’ve established with restaurant owners
➡️ There are several tours to choose from that run both in the day and night and they are 3-4 hours long
➡️ You can book a flamenco feast if you want to kill two birds with one stone but those tours tend to get sold out really quickly!
➡️ Make sure you are upfront about any culinary restrictions but fair warning that the Spain food tour is vv heavy on the drinking since it’s a big part of the culture
➡️ Come hungry! Tapas portions are deceptively small but they are quite filling!

【SOMEWHERE IN SPAIN】 You see how Sevilla looked? Very demure. Very cutesy. Very mindful. 🇪🇸

If you can only make time for one tourist attraction in Sevilla, it should be the Real Alcazar [Royal Alcazar], the historic royal palace that is also the oldest active royal residence in all of Europe. For any Game of Thrones fans, you’ll recognize it as the filming location for the kingdom of Dorne. The palace’s Islamic architecture still remains one of the most important reflections of cultural synthesis that has defined the city of Sevilla. Scroll through the Spain scrapbook ➡️

【SOMEWHERE IN SPAIN】 Long time no sea! 👋🏽 🌊 Back from the second half of my 2024 summer Euro Tour with the first stop in magical Cádiz, Spain! Did you know that Cádiz is considered be the longest inhabited city in all of Europe? The Spanish flock to its sandy shores come summertime but it’s still flying under the radars for tourists. I only was lucky enough to enjoy it because my sister got married there last week so get ready for a lot of Spain content!!

Everyone hits the beaches of Cádiz but we got the best of the bay via a private boat tour we found on getyourguide! Get Your Guide is a booking platform for tourist activities but a lot of their offerings are really focused on culture and meaningful fun. I also used a lot of their city guides as inspiration for my Spain trip so definitely check them out!

My whole opinion of Spain has changed entirely thanks to my time in Andalusia so HIGHLY! recommend visiting the gems of Andalusia if you’re planning a Spain trip 💯

🚊 How to get here: There are no direct flights to Cadiz so you can fly into Madrid Airport and take a 4 hour direct train with Renfe OR fly into nearby airport (Jerez or Sevilla) and take a regional train to Cadiz.

《Private Boat Tour in Cadiz, Spain 》 Back from one of my new favorite destinations in the world…. Cadiz, Spain! 🇪🇸🌊

When my friends Matt and Liv asked if we’d be down to rent a private boat in Cadiz, I was hesitant as I’ve never been a boat person but after my 3-hour tour of the Bay of Cadiz with getyourguide , my entire outlook on boats changed. The private experience was the perfect introduction to one of Spain’s best summer destinations, Cadiz! You get to go under the Constitution Bridge (one of the main attractions in Cadiz) and anchor up in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. Our skipper Roberto had refreshment on board and even a tortilla de patata ready to go for us! My favorite thing was trying paddleboard for the first time and also the speaker on board came in clutch! Love being a part of the getyourguidecommunity 🙌🏽

🎟️ Get Your Guide is my favorite platform for booking excursions while traveling. They have everything from cooking classes to entrance for usually sold out attractions.
💰COST: $349 for 3 hours for max 7 pp
