I would like to share our ordeal with The Westin Kolkata! thewestinkolkata We had 90+ rooms booked for 3 nights! And trust me - a 3 star hotel would have been a much better option than this so called 5 star hotel! Our experience: 1) Check In - For hours altogether hours, the room key activating machine was not working, can you believe this? 2) THE CORRIDORS ARE NOT AIR CONDITIONED! Weird for a 5 star hotel, isn't it? 3) Out of the 90 rooms - the AC was not cooling in more than 10 rooms! We had to continuously call the reception and complain about it (and they told us that the service people are busy fixing the AC in other rooms - this just made it more evident as to how many other rooms are facing this issue) 4) Room Service either never came or was delayed by 2 hours! The hotel has 300+ rooms, and they are not prepared to function at this capacity! SHAME! 5) In all our wedding functions, THERE WAS NOT A SINGLE PERSON BEHIND THE FOOD COUNTERS.
