Short on 🕝, but need a high impact balayage placement for your wavy/curly client? This placement is an easy way to achieve a face framing, lived in look. Remember, Diagonal lines in color placent tell the eye where to travel and direct light. #GRWM for New Year's eve night! Part 2 of the DIY Old Hollywood Glam waves set. #protips for sculpting and finishing this look: 1. Use sebastianpro_northamerica Dark Oil to smooth out the set and maintain volume with a natural fiber brush. 2. Working from the bottom up in horizontal sections, gently back brush or back comb the hair at every bend to open up and create structure for the wave. Lay each section on top of the last and match the waves into place. (If you have a curtain fringe like me, use a teasing comb in the fringe section for a more structured hold.) 3. Gently smooth the top of the section with the Boar bristle brush for shine while sculpting those s waves into place. Set each section with sebastianpro_official Shaper Zero Gravity. 4. Working from the part down to the ends, smooth the top of the hair and continue sculpting. After each s bend, secure with the no crease clips around your face before moving to the next bend. 5. Remember to be gentle! 6. Do a final set with Sebastian Professionals Shaper Plus hairspray. Leave in the no crease clips until you're ready to walk out the door. Get ready for your NYE🎆🥂 party tonight with a heatless Old Hollywood Glam waves set! Stay tuned tomorrow morning to see how to sculpt and finish the look! Some #protips for perfecting this set: 1.Use sebastianpro_northamerica Mousse Forte on completely clean, dry hair. Use enough product so that the section feels about 85% dry after applying. #bonustip: I also used sebastianpro_official Pentrait Overnight Repairing Serum on my more porous mids and ends. 2. Use a natural fiber brush like a Mason Pearson Boar bristle brush to smooth out each section before wrapping it around the flexi-rod. (I used flexi-rods from mykitsch) 3. Wrap sections over the flexi-rod towards your face on the side that the hair is parted to. Wrap under the flexi-rod away from your face on the side opposite your part. 4. Try to take even sections in the back and mirror the sections on both sides. 5. Use extra Mousse Forte to smooth down any ends that stick out straight when wrapping. You'll want to use enough product to lock it into place. Don't be afraid of the hair being too crispy. Mousse Forte won't get to stiff or flake when brushed out. 6. Once you've finished adding sections of hair from your head, bend the longer flexi-rod upwards for extra width and finish wrapping the thinner ends for a more balanced wave. 7. I like to take an ibuprofen and a melatonin before bed to help sleep since I'm not accustomed to sleeping with sets like this. For my 39th solar return, I honestly didn't want to plan anything big. It seemed like an unimportant milestone. The universe, however, had different plans. As I'm reflecting on this past year, I'm finding endless blessings of gratitude. I'd say the blessing I'm most grateful for is the community of family that has chosen me, loved me, accepted me for all that I am (even when I've been difficult to love), supported me, and brought me to destinations physical and emotional that I'm not sure I'd have explored on my own.
