The world’s first vegan football club ⚽️🌱 ad

Everything at Forest Green Rovers FC is vegan, from the match day burgers to the football kits - even the players eat vegan food, and it must be working because they’re top of the league and undefeated this season! 🏆

FIFA named them the greenest football club in the world and it’s really no surprise because they’re owned by Dale Vince, who also runs the world’s first vegan energy company, ecotricity 💚

Forest Green are leading the way but if you want to do your bit too, you can switch to ecotricity’s green vegan energy in your own home! Visit the link in my bio to find out more. 2025-09-23 15:14:27 .. 3,185 -43% 231 -1%

I went to a vegan wedding this weekend 🌱

Watching friends get married is one of my fave hobbies 💒

I met ellysplate about six years ago through this page and this weekend, I got to watch her marry her best friend in Mallorca. It was one of the most beautiful weddings I’ve ever been to which is on brand for Elly & Jem who are truly gorgeous humans inside and out. (go and look at their wedding pics on elly’s page right nowww)

Almost everyone there was crying tears of joy at one point or another and, of course, the food was phenom - especially the canapés - best I’ve ever had. 10/10 - no notes 👌🏼

Shout out to eatwithebs for the masterclass in how to pose for photos and to natsnourishments for being a class housemate for the last few days ♥️ 2025-09-10 14:22:43 I .. 1,235 -78% 63 -73%
Meet one of my new fave restaurants 🌱{ad - press meal}

bigsistervegan just opened and it’s *exactly* what London’s vegan scene needed - an all-day breakfast spot with mind-blowingly good food.

Here’s what I ate:
🌱 Granola - light but still packed flavour
🥞 Fluffy pancakes - phenom. Light, bouncy, fluffy pancakes, jam filling keeps it moist, cream is out of this world - light, airy & creamy
🥞 French toast - again, the cream stands out but the whole dish is insane
🥓 Big breakfast - best I’ve had - every element has been given love to make it flavoursome & unique. The slightly sweet kale stood out for me
🍄 Doner style oyster mushrooms on toast with cucumber, onion pickles, coriander & creamy white sauce - stunning textures & contrast of flavours
🥯 The hills toasted bun with chive & dill cream cheese, sundried tomatoes, balsamic reduction, rocket & sesame seeds - superb. Every flavour in here works perfectly - love the herby cheese
🥗 Caesar Salad - excellent - v realistic chicken, fresh ingredients, tasty dressing
🥞 Pancake & waffle stack - decadent but balanced perfectly, chorizo sauce is sexy
🥑 Smashed avo on toast - most beautiful avo toast ever and flavour to match, kumquat zest works well
🍮 Sunset Boulevard tiramisu - delicious and still has a twist to make it unique
🍰 Palm Spring cheesecake - fresh, ligh & tangy
🍫 La Noisette praline, crunchy dark chocolate, hazelnut & vanilla mousse - rich, airy & creamy

🏆I genuinely struggled to choose - enjoyed it all, but loved the pancakes, French toast, big breakfast, doner style toast, hills bun, caesar salad, the pancake & waffle stack and tiramisu

This is Camden market’s fully vegan restaurant 🌱{ad - press meal}

Normally I’m a bit suspicious about places with massive menus and more than one cuisine but I was pleasantly surprised by _meatthevegans - fresh food, generous portions, and some well-flavoured dishes 👌🏼 Some dishes didn’t quite hit for me but others were well executed.

Here’s what I ate and thought:

🥗 Som Tam papaya salad - fresh, flavoursome, zesty
🍗 Jackfruit drumsticks - nice crunch but wanted more flavour from the jackfruit
🍗 Chick’n satay sticks - very meaty texture, nice satay sauce
🍜 Pad thai - didn’t feel greasy or bland - nice flavour - a little sweet which I liked and a generous portion
🥘 Butter chicken tikka masala - really enjoyed this - lots of flavour and I really liked the chicken sub. Generous amount of chicken and comes with rice
🌱 Samosa chaat - texturally I really like this but the yoghurt was far too sweet and overpowered the whole dish. Would like to see a more natural flavoured yoghurt used
🍚 Eight treasure fried rice - lots of flavour and texture going on in here - really liked it

🏆 The butter chicken tikka masala, fried rice & pad thai were my faves

We did a This Country tour! 🧑🏼👦🏼

This is quite niche but Jamie & I are big fans of BBC’s This Country. After a tough week, we decided to book a last minute trip to Northleach in the Cotswolds where most of the show was filmed, to cheer us up.

We had no plans when we turned up but by luck, I DM’ed paul57cooper who plays Martin Mucklowe in the show, and managed to get a private tour of the filming locations with him which was SO fun.

We had a pint with him in the “keepers arms” after - he’s a top bloke (not a dirty peepin’ b*stard) and I can’t recommend it more to anyone else who likes the show 👌🏼

PS Big thanks to @ andys_unamazing_adventures who created a location map of the area which we used all weekend - so helpful! You can find it by googling This Country locations map ☺️ 2025-08-11 16:35:39 .. 1,601 -71% 78 -66%

ad Edinburgh’s best vegan eats 🌱

Edinburgh isn’t just a pretty face - it’s also smashing it when it comes to sustainability ♻️

So, the team at ecotricity (the world’s first and only vegan energy company!) challenged me to find the BEST local spots that share their passion for sustainability, green energy and tackling the climate crisis 🌍

Like me, Ecotricity is all about powering a green future without harming animals so I’m really proud to announce that I’m their new ambassador!

Keep an eye out for our collabs over the next few months, where we’ll be teaming up to show you some of the incredible things from making diamonds out of clouds (yes you read that right) to building windmills and solar parks across the UK and ensuring it’s easy for individuals and businesses to switch to green, vegan energy ✌🏼

Visit the link in my bio to find out more about our partnership and whether you’re an individual or a business, be sure to quote “LLV” when you switch or join Ecotricity to let them know you found them through me!

I’m so heartbroken to say that our beloved little cat Miso has passed away. I posted about her on here a lot and you always loved seeing her so I wanted to share this with you all too.

The loss of a pet is so much harder than you ever imagine it could be, especially when it’s unexpected. She was more than a pet - she was the third member of our little family. I miss all of her little quirks - her little footsteps coming up the hallway, her slow blinks, how she’d sleep on our chests in the morning. I miss playing with her in the garden and I miss how truly weird and unique she was but more than anything I just miss her presence in the house. Everywhere I look, I see her and I can’t explain how painful that is.

I know time will allow me to feel happiness at the memories of her and I look forward to that day. I haven’t got much emotional energy to reply to any comments today but I will be reading and hugely appreciating any kind words you leave on this post. 2025-08-04 15:12:57 I’m so heartbro.. 5,622 +1% 496 +113%
This is London’s newest vegan Chinese menu 🇨🇳🌱 {ad - press meal}

mingscuisine.balham isn’t a fully vegan restaurant but their vegan menu is so big, you’d be mistaken for thinking it is 👏🏼

Here’s what I tried & thought:
🥟 Steamed dumplings - nice but needed a dipping sauce
🥩 Vegan Crispy shredded “beef” - first time I’ve had a vegan version and really liked it. It gets chewy when cold so eat it while it’s fresh
🍚 Singapore fried rice - this tasted like how I remember egg fried rice but a bit smokier. “prawns” could be chopped a bit smaller
🌱 Sizzling tofu in house special sauce - tasty but would’ve liked a firmer texture and some heat
🍗 Kung po “chicken” - same chicken brand as tofu vegan I believe - nice dish but needed some crunch
🍆 Aubergine in claypot - soft and melty but wanted a bolder flavour
🥬 Shanghai pak choi - really liked this - fresh & tasty - perfect side dish

💭 Amazing to see a non-vegan spot offering such a big vegan menu! The food was tasty. The portions were generous but some of the prices were a little high. I suggested small & large options so people can try more of a range. I did notice the menu is v similar to tofu vegan and, of course, some crossover is expected but a bit more originality would be amazing. They’re working on a new menu so I suggested more unique dishes would work well. Staff were very friendly

🏆 Crispy shredded beef - I haven’t had a vegan version before - liked how creative & unique it was

From flaky croissants to pain au chocolat, okjacafe has all of the classics covered but they also have a varied and unique menu with items like poppyseed loaf swirls, triple chocolate cookies and monkey bread 🍞

Here’s a little taste of their menu:
🥐 Croissant: £3
🍫 Pain au choc: £3.50
🧀 Cheese & pesto bun: £4.50
🍋 Lemon poppyseed swirl: £4.50

🥜 PB&J swirl: £4.50

Okja originated in South Africa 🇿🇦 but they opened their first London branch in Spitalfields last year. Everything is handmade and made fresh - they even make their own vegan butter! It’s a takeaway only place right now, bar a couple of benches outside but definitely worth a visit.

Move aside, Dishoom. We now have a fully veggie Indian breakfast & brunch spot 🇮🇳 ad

The HUGE menu by omnom x namastevillage includes “sausage” & “bacon” naans, hash brown chaat, masala french toast & “chicken” butter masala 🥘

There’s a mix of traditional South Indian dishes, British-Indian fusion dishes, some classic brunch dishes like avocado toast, brunch specials including curries, dosas, pow bhajis and biryani as well as Gujurati small plates 🇮🇳

💭Finally - more interesting vegan breakfast options in London! The team have been working on this for a while. They first asked me for feedback on this concept in 2023 and they’ve been refining it ever since! I still had some feedback on some of the dishes (I suggested different sausage and bacon brands, a need for more moisture in the tofu bhurji pav as well as a couple of other things), but overall, this is an extensive menu with some creative, flavour-packed dishes. I like that there’s a mix of traditional dishes and fusion dishes and a good balance between healthy and indulgent. I’d recommend ordering a range of dishes across different sections of the menu!

🏆 My favourites were the hash brown chaat - honestly it’s very rare for chaat not to be my favourite dish on a menu - I love the mixture of textures and flavours. I also really enjoyed the masala French toast with masala beans and the khaman dhokla savoury sponge cake with chutneys. I mainly tried the breakfast menu but have had some of the brunch dishes before and loved them - especially the “chicken” butter masala, pav bhaji & gunpowder aloo.

This is London’s newest vegan Ethiopian restaurant 🇪🇹 {ad - press meal}

merkamo.ethiopian has been one of London’s most loved street food stalls since they opened in 2016 in Old Spitalfields market and now they have a permanent bricks and mortar home, just round the corner in Shoreditch! 📍

💭 The food here is hearty, nutritious and made using all natural ingredients such as lentils, beans, veggies, herbs and spices so you feel satisfied but not uncomfortable after your meal. There’s also a really lovely balance of spice, sourness, tanginess and just an absolute smorgasbord of flavour. The meals here are seriously substantial but come at really affordable prices. For example, this platter you see in front of me costs £47 for 4 people - £12 each

🏆 There are lots of strong dishes but the combination of the red lentils with spicy green sauce and soft, slightly sour injera was my absolute favourite. Their fruit juices are also really great!
