- Proof that a consistent skincare routine can truly transform your skin. This client sent me this check-in photo and said, “My skin hasn’t looked this good since before babies.” We focused on pigment, congestion, texture and boosting her overall skin quality. Want the exact routine we used? Comment routine below and I’ll send you the full breakdown. Or email info@thelafacialist.com to schedule a virtual consultation to get a routine made specifically for you.
- August tested me in ways I never could have imagined. Heavy stuff, but with it comes transformation. Grateful that so much of the month was spent in the water and surrounded by friends annnnnd that I finally got to return to my slice of heaven at palmheightsgc 🌴 the last pic is proof I worked this month :)
- This summer has been nonstop. Between speaking events, filming, and podcasts, I’ve been out of town more than I’ve been home. And when I am home, I’m in the treatment room or doing all the behind the scenes thankless tasks that no one sees but every business owner knows too well. Lately, I’ve felt burned out and stretched thin. I’ve been counting down the days until my next vacation, and that feeling brought up a memory I haven’t thought about in years. When I was 21, I’d already been working as an esthetician for a few years and was frustrated that I hadn’t seen the world yet. I thought maybe I chose the wrong path. Being an esthi didn’t feel like a career that would give me the freedom or income to travel. So I applied to every airline I could think of to become a flight attendant. Not one of them hired me. I didn’t even get an interview. I remember feeling so defeated, like I was going to be stuck in a dark treatment room forever while everyone else was out living. But here I am, 17 years later. And the very career I thought would keep me stuck has taken me places I never dreamed of: India, Dubai, Romania, Sicily, Turkey, Mexico (of course Costa Rica) and so many corners of the US. What I’ve learned is this: Sometimes the door doesn’t open because you’re not supposed to walk through it. Sometimes the no that hurts so bad is what keeps you on the right path. And most of the time, we’re the only ones in our own way. Back then, I was the only one standing in my way because I couldn’t dream bigger for myself, I thought that I couldn’t travel as an Esthi because I had never seen it done before, it literally didn’t know it was possible. And then, God intervened and said “no you silly 21 year old, we’re not giving you what you want, because it’s not meant for you” and in hindsight I would have made the WORST flight attendant… if you know me I’m sure you’re laughing right now. Anyhow, if you’ve made it to the end of my story, thank you. I hope that I’ve inspired to dream bigger for yourself. And if you’re going through a painful season of rejection, stop and smile. Because you might just be entering a season of real blessings Love you all - c
