High joint: best burgers in town!! 😍🙌🏽 Seriously, the High Jamz burger deserves all the hype it gets 🤩 it has a perfectly grilled beef patty, bacon jam, high special sauce and fried onions - does it get any better? 😩 Also ordered the crabby patty which comes with a soft shell crab 🦀 and caviar 🥵 I’m a seafood lover, so this was it for me! And for a variation, we also ordered the spicy mango slaw chicken 👅 the perfect balance between sweet n spicy! Original wings and rings: so happy that I got to go here, because it was an amazing experience 😍 The staff were super friendly, especially Zaitun and Vanessa 🤗 even the asst manager Swidon, was extremely kind with recommendations 😊 For starters we got the Appetiser Platter, and the Spinach and Artichoke dip, both of which were SO GOOD 😍 the pita bread in the latter , was extremely fresh and could be eaten plain! The Appetiser Platter came with mozzarella sticks, chicken popcorn (the best), onion rings and sloppy fries, all for only AED89! 🤩 For mains we had the Black and Bleu burger which came with blue cheese, and was probably one of the best beef burgers I’ve tried 🤤 - even if you don’t like blue cheese, this is a must try! Cafe be.k: found this new gem in DFC, and I knew I had to try it out! 😍 . I decided to visit this cafe for their kakigori (Japanese shaved ice) 🍧 but I was introduced to more 😍 . I tried the mango kakigori, which was seriously amazing!! It’s a huge portion, and comes with a coconut cream, and a mango sauce on the side 🥭 this dessert is super REFRESHING, and I thoroughly enjoyed it 😩 (AED 36 - AED 38) . Cheesecake bites ✨ . Made this super easy treat because I successfully ate salad for a week 🥰 jokes...I had it once for dinner 😔 but who cares, eh? . I made a very thin layer of cheesecake and cut it in half to place on top of each other, so that there was equal crust 😍 (or else it would’ve been too rich) . I made an Oreo crust, and made a normal no-bake cheesecake batter 🧀 topped it off with a chocolate ganache, and peanut butter to balance out the sweetness 🌚 . Eat route: super happy that I got to go here, because it was an absolute delight! ❤️ . When I came in here, I was greeted by extremely friendly staff! Service was top notch 🥰 . For starters we got the “Spartan fries” which is their BEST SELLER, and it did not let down 😍 they were loaded in a tangy sauce that was perfectly balanced by the fries! . We also ordered the “Rocky shrimps”, which were crispy on the outside, and drizzled with bbq sauce + another sauce (I think ranch) 😩 the perfect balance of sweet and sour, as you sprinkle lemon juice on them 🍋 . For mains we got the red lute burger, which came with a crispy chicken patty, jalapeños, and a special sauce 😍 it wasn’t too messy, and came together well! . We also ordered the buffalo soldier burger, which was MESSY 😂 it came with onion strings on top, that had to be eaten separately, cause the burger wasn’t easy to hold 💀 but overall, it tasted really really good! ❤️ . Brownie sundae 🍨 . These aren’t your normal brownies...believe it or not, they’re (almost) sugar-free!😋 . I decided to try going “sugar-less” for a week (didn’t work obviously 💀), and attempt brownies 😅 . I used honey as a sweetener, and suffice to say, they failed ☹️ the brownies turned out cakey, and weren’t intense enough 🤷🏽‍♀️ . BUT, one cooking failure doesn’t mean you can’t turn it into something good, eh? 🥰 . I made a dark chocolate ganache to go on top of the brownies which helped intensify the flavour 🍫 topped it off with ice cream and chocolate syrup 😍 . AND it worked like magic! ✨ . Açai nation: got this delivered for “lunch” because I’m on a no-sugar-week challenge 🤭 and it was absolutely perfect 🤤 . I got the strawberry açai bowl 🍓 with a banana blend🍌 using traditional açai + a mixed berry smoothie 🤩 . There are different blends you can opt for (banana/strawberry/blueberry/pineapple), but I chose to go with the original banana blend 😋 the bowl was super refreshing and well balanced! Bareburger: if the looks of this burger doesn’t make you go nuts, you obviously haven’t had a good burger 😍 . We ordered two burgers, the first one was called Supreme ⭐️ which was a beef burger that came with cheese, lettuce, beef bacon, and onion rings 🤤 . Spaghetti and meatballs...with a twist 🍝 . When I say twist, I mean that this isn’t your usual classic Italian dish 🤭 instead, this is an Asian dish 🍜 . For the “spaghetti”, I used Hakka noodles, and tossed it in a garlic-sesame oil 😋 . The meatballs were made using Asian flavours and were BAKED (healthy or what?)🌱 . Cookies and cream pancakes! 🥞 . These are essentially just chocolate pancakes with oreo crumbs mixed in 🤪 I made some vanilla bean sauce to go with the pancakes and it worked really well 🌚 . The one mistake however was that the Oreos slightly dried out the batter, but the pancakes still turned out fluffy and soft! . Red velvet waffles ✨ topped with cream cheese, chocolate chips and pecans 😍 . So I’ve made red velvet pancakes before, and thought to myself, why not try this with waffles?? 🤪 and seriously, one of the best decisions ever 🙌🏽 . The whole combination works REALLY well together, with the slight tanginess from the cream cheese, and the sweetness from the chocolate 😍 and ofc, the much needed crunch from the pecans 🌚 . Pad Thai 🥢 alongside Thai iced coffee 😍 Who would’ve thought those two made such a great combo? 🤤 I initially planned on making Thai iced tea, but since I’m not a fan of tea 😬 I realised I could just make coffee! 🤩 this coffee tastes UNIQUE as it uses condensed milk and heavy cream 😩 And for the star of the lunch 🌟 the Pad Thai tasted AMAZING, and what made it even better was the fact that it took only ten mins to prepare!! #quick ⏰ The box comes with a packet of rice noodles, and Pad Thai sauce 👌🏽 the only other items they recommend to have: •shrimp •coriander •lime •bean sprouts. Cinnabon bites 😚👌🏽anyone who knows me, knows how much I LOVE Cinnabon ❤️ but since we couldn’t order in, I decided to have my cravings satisfied with a simple and easy treat 🌚 I made these using my own recipe of a soft sweet dough, that I shaped into “balls” (unsuccessful as you can see) 😔 while baking them I applied a coat of sugar, butter and cinnamon on top.
