Back to school already… I can’t quite believe how quickly the summer’s flown by ✨🌞

For me, this time of year is about gently getting the kids (and myself!) back into a rhythm. A few little things make such a difference:

🌙 Bedtimes – I notice my own children cope so much better when sleep is consistent. Even bringing bedtime forward by 15–20 minutes helps with focus and mood the next day. On the other hand...I don't cope at all without 8 hours of sleep. 

🥗 Meals – I always say food is fuel, but during term time, it feels even more true. Balanced lunches with protein, healthy fats, and colourful fruit & veg keep their energy steady through long school days. A little prep the night before really saves the morning chaos. Add lots of variety to their snacks to fire up the gut microbes. 

🕒 Routine – Children (and parents!) thrive on a bit of structure. It doesn’t have to be perfect, but those small anchors in the day make everyone feel calmer and more in control.

Most importantly, I remind my kids that school isn’t just about learning—it’s about having fun, being kind, and looking out for the ones who might need a little extra love. 💛 Lead with kindness wherever you go. 

And to the parents—it is time to re set and re focus on what you need to feel your best and give your best. With a blink of an eye, it will be half term.
