Some of my favorite food moments of Thailand, in no particular order 🇹🇭 • The whole table at a fishing village that included tons of crab, langostinos, fried fish and the best fish & tamarind soup I’ve ever had. On our tour with phongsilacommak •The best example of Thai hospitality along with some of my absolute highlight of the trip. Including this duck and a brioche with scallops that was bomb at restaurant.potong * still processing the experience at gaggan_anand was it a show, was it fine-dining, was it all just a showcase of techniques, teamwork and musical knowledge? Was it a master class in wine pairing? Was it everything at once? * Going to markets in other countries has to be the ultimate experience and even better when a team of cooks and food people take you and introduce you to a bunch of flavors, textures and techniques. I will forever remember that freshly pressed coconut milk * I have a new favorite bar experience and it’s Ku Bar they put all my favorite fabulous into one cocktail: pandan, matcha, coconut water and gin in the quietest coolest bar. * This vegan, bean, seaweed, mushroom broth was my fave at ledubkk there was crunch, umami, subtleness all in one. * I heard German food in the middle of Bangkok and wasn’t sure what to expect. Mind was blown, tastebuds were happy. I’d never been to a restaurant with this much attention to detail, where both food and hospitality were executed with extreme perfection but yet never felt stuck up. restaurant_suhring * Nothing like having a beer while on a boat on a canal while sweating profusely on phongsilacommak ‘s tour * Having soup for breakfast works best when in really hot and humid cities. Ok so, Massive Attack was the excuse (as if I needed any) to go back to London, and the beauty of returning to a city you’ve visited multiple times is that you finally get to slow down, ease into it and take it in for real. Aside from all the friends and their newborn babies I got to meet, food & drink-wise these are my highlights: Got to try my now favorite full English at family owned Italian/ British spot pelliccicafe and I’m now obsessed Had a delicious Sunday Roast with millitaylor followed by cherry pie at violetcakeslondon with nicolaalamb Went wild and got ice cream and sparkling for breakfast at dreameryldn And some great British sparkling at goodbyehorsesldn 🥂 Got my teeth in THE bagel at Shoreditch’s beigel_bake which prompted gabriel_armstr0ng only recorded smile. Had some ‘small plates’ and wine at jolene_newingtongreen with my fave Irish woman mollyhutchinson and got to hang out with her cute little pup Bambino Spent an afternoon at Whitstable and basically ate my weight in oysters, had lots of English sparkling white and the best fish & chips by the British coast with a beer in hand an many, many laughs sponsored by my faves tim_mccourt & lydiaraghavan 🫶🏽 Went back twice to terminisoho because it’s just my favorite bar in London. Had a Mexican food day with mexicanfoodmemories stoped by sonora.ldn for banging tacos norteños and the best flour tortilla aaaand an ice cream sandwich with arroz con leche ice cream by gay.nigella followed by perfectly tangy and balanced ceviche and proper margaritas at the newest santoremedio_uk with edsondiazfuentes 🇲🇽 🌮 And have a new found appreciation for warm weather in London as apparently sunlight turns Brits into the shiniest happy people ever. My friend and (best) travel partner paooi owns a tea house in cdmx and is an avid reader, which resulted in us visiting a surprising amount of libraries and trying tons of different teas 🫖 also had lots of cask ales and beers Aaaaaand London is still my favorite city (after cdmx) and I already want to go back 🇬🇧 ❤️ 2025-06-21 22:42:37 .. 587 +48% 33 +163%
