A couple years ago, I went all out on my front porch Christmas decor and I worked in fresh magnolia, cedar, sugar pinecones and juniper berries and I just loved it so much. 🎄 I use artificial garland and wreaths as my base and fill in with fresh/pinecones. I spotted this gorgeous rich and dreamy dark blue/green walking in Paris and I instantly fell in love! ❤️ Such a beautiful color with rich character and depth. While it’s so perfect on this exterior, I could also really see it in a moody whole room (walls, trim and ceiling) it would also be so stunning on cabinetry w/ contrasting white walls. 🙌🏻 The color could very possibly be Farrow and Ball “Green Studio” since they use so much F&B in France. However, my starting point to mix this color will be Benjamin Moore Yorktowne Green and then tweak from there. Did you guys know that Zara has home stores (Zara Home) in Europe? 😳 I had no idea and I walked through the Mallorca (Palma) Spain store today and I really loved it! 🙌🏻 They are not in US yet and they don’t ship to US either. 😭 I so so badly wanted the gorgeous black and white dishes and soup tureen (see my images) but the sales associate said they can’t ship to US. Not sure if this is true but he said they are opening a zarahome in NYC in the next year? 🙏🏻 The prices were fantastic and a gorgeous selection. We toured the incredible Chateau de Chenonceau near the Loire River, which was King Henry and Queen Catherine (de’Medici) French Chateau in the 1500’s. Catherine was known for being very hands-on with architecture/building projects in the Loire Valley (including the gallery and addition over the bridge in 1st picture). It makes me wonder if Catherine was one of the first female designers. 💪🏼 Girl hit it out of the park with the harlequin floors, arched windows and limestone walls that’s so on trend today! Side note.. notice that Catherine’s emblem in fireplace (3rd pic) is interlocking C’s.
