![While going through the video clips of rakhi i noticed and remembered this cute moment. Where when I asked Samar to touch his sister’s feet, as you do in the festival of Rakhi, he first extended his own legs and then he just tapped his feet against hers, literally just touching. He wasn’t wrong though.
Although we have told him many times what it means to touch a feet, the literal meaning the duality of situation can confuse him and here’s the classic example for it.

![Samar has now been saying - YES OR NO for things that he wants to do and doesn’t want to do. It took us long time to reach here but finally, we have arrived. It is very important for a person especially neurodivergent with limited verbal communication or non verbal communication, to express their emotions as their needs and wants can always get sidelined if we don’t understand them clearly.
This was truly a big feat for us.
We will be discussing this - communication, behaviour and habits, education and much more in our workshop which will be happening on 3rd August 2025.
