- You focus on being the strongest, healthiest version of yourself so you're prepared for anything life throws at you... and it's a slippery floor in Mykonos that gets you! 😂 Came back to Dubai in a wheelchair with a fully ruptured quad tendon and double meniscus tear! I had surgery 2 weeks ago to re-attach the tendon to the patella and repair both meniscus... the leg has to be locked straight in this brace for 6 weeks to allow the tendon to heal. Then starts the physio and rehab. The surgeon has told me its usually 12 months to a full recovery with this injury... this is where being strong, fit and healthy comes in... I'll be back in 3 😁 Back in the gym today... I've still got my upper body and one good leg 💪 Let's go! 💥
- Could not be happier with the progress made one month post surgery to re-attach my torn quad tendon to my kneecap and repair both meniscus... a solid 9/10 severity for a knee injury... if I hadn't got it done, I would never have walked again 😅 The leg brace was locked straight to allow the repair to heal but I've still managed to average over 8000 steps per day in the month post surgery. The main focus has been on improving mobility, stability and strength of the operated knee whilst keeping my fitness in a good place. I've also been training my good leg every other day as this improves strength and motor skills through neural adaptation of the operated leg through a phenomenon called The cross education effect. Excited for month 2 update!
