May: A Month of Mindfulness 🌿🧘‍♀️

This May was all about helping people come home to themselves, through movement, breath, and stillness.

From intense sessions at my favourite studiococoonkolkata, to the deep cleanse of Jal Neti, a heart-opening Couples Prenatal Yoga Session designed to build stronger bonds before baby arrives, and finally, a powerful Headstand Workshop, it was a month full of energy, courage, connection, and breakthroughs.

But here’s the thing no one talks about:
Workshops are hard work. Promotions take a toll. So many enquire, so few commit. Every month I think, “This is the last one.”
And yet… I return.
Because every time someone says, “I didn’t expect it to shift so much within me”, I know it’s worth it.

Someone recently told me:
“You’re making money by transforming lives. There’s nothing more noble than that.”
That line hit home.

And amidst it all, the planning, teaching, promoting — I stayed committed to my own practice.
Mornings and evenings carved out for my own health and fitness… because how can I pour into others if I’m not first full myself?

Yesterday’s session holds a very special place in my heart.

I’ve always felt that during pregnancy, fathers to be also deeply long for a way to connect with their growing baby, to feel involved, to be present.

Garbhdhyaan — Meditation for a Peaceful Pregnancy 🧘‍♀️🌸

If you’re an expecting mother navigating emotional stress, anxiety, or mood swings — know that you’re not alone.
But also know this: You have the power to shift your inner state, and in doing so, support your baby’s mental and emotional development right from the womb.

This is where Garbhdhyaan comes in — the practice of meditating consciously during pregnancy to calm the mind, nurture the womb, and foster a sacred connection with your baby. ✨

Here are 2 simple but powerful practices you can begin today:
🫁 1. Abdominal breathing Meditation (5–10 minutes daily)
1. Sit comfortably with your back supported.
2. Place one hand on your chest and the other on your belly.
3. As you inhale, gently push your belly out like a balloon.
4. As you exhale, draw your belly in towards your spine.
5. Just observe this natural rise and fall — no force, no control

With every breath, relax your body and soften your thoughts.
Visualize calm energy flowing to your baby through each inhale.

Remember: This helps regulate your nervous system instantly,  reduce stress hormones, and bring emotional stability.

🕉️ 2. Mantra Meditation (Chant 108 times)
Choose a calming, high-vibration mantra (like Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya, So Hum, or AUM).
1. Sit in a quiet space and chant the mantra aloud or silently, with full presence.
2. You can use a mala to keep count or simply repeat it with love and intention.
3. As you chant, visualize the sound waves reaching your baby, wrapping them in light and protection.

Chanting helps align your energy, remove mental clutter, and infuse your womb with peaceful, positive vibrations.

You don’t need a perfect setup, or even a silent room.
All you need is your intention to connect, to calm, and to nurture.
