🍴 Always in Ortigia, have dinner at sebylosteria . Fresh raw fish, cozy atmosphere and real Sicilian vibe. The first photo is taken there.
🎥 On Piazza Duomo( in Ortigia)where scenes of the movie Malèna were filmed, I couldn’t resist posing too in my long yellow dress☺️
🎭 Don’t miss the Greek Theatre in Syracuse . Over 2,500 years old and still hosting performances. It’s not only beautiful, but also a powerful way to touch history.
🍰 At cannoloterapia in Syracusa , you’ll face a sweet kind of “dictatorship”: first cappuccino, then cannolo , Sicilian rules, no discussion 😅 watch the last photo it’s one of our breakfast there🍰☕️
🍊 You have to try an arancino ,Sicily’s traditional fried rice ball with meat or cheese. I even took a photo with one because it’s that good (the 12th one)😋. It costs almost nothing and is perfect even for those watching their figure.
🏝 And for nature lovers: wild beaches hidden in half-caves, a perfect adventure spot, while comfort is always close by. I posed there is total white look with my hat.
💛 And what truly makes Sicily special are the people. Open, kind, and always ready to help, locals treat you with warmth and never stay indifferent. We got to know there friendly interesting and truly warm people☺️

August is a unique month in Italy. The entire country goes on holiday. Accommodation prices? Two, sometimes three times higher.
But if you’re still planning a trip here are my personal tips on how to find great places to stay without overspending.
I’m not just writing this as a blogger, but also as someone who rents out a property myself and knows how it all works from the inside 💁🏼♀️
💡 HACK #1: Look for owners directly in Facebook groups
Instead of only searching on Booking or Airbnb, head over to Facebook and look up:
🔍 “Host Airbnb Booking Italia” for example
These are real owners who often post their listings directly , no platform fees involved.
💡 HACK #2: Book → Message → Negotiate
Found a nice apartment on Booking?
Go ahead and book , then message the host:
✉️like: Would you be open to cancelling the booking and offering us a direct discount?
🔑With Airbnb it is more difficult as many hosts prefer keeping the reservation for a free insurance for their properties 🫠
💡 HACK #3: Don’t go where everyone else goes
Here’s where you can go in August without the crowds or the tourist panic:
🏝 Cilento (Campania) an Amalfi alternative: same beautiful sea, fewer tourists
🏞 Urbino (Marche) rolling hills, Renaissance charm, no big tour groups

🏎️The Mille Miglia is a legendary Italian vintage car rally that combines historic charm, luxury, and speed, attracting enthusiasts from around the world;
👩🏻Thanks to some wonderful connections, I was invited as a guest for the first time , truly a lucky moment!
💡Some interesting facts I collected for you:

🌧️ And yes, it always rains in Brescia during the Mille Miglia, locals know that very well.

Sometimes I wonder — what if I had lived in Kyiv from 20 to 30 instead? Who would I be today?
But being a foreigner in Italy for over a decade taught me this: when you’re surrounded by beauty daily — from ancient streets to espresso rituals — you begin to forget how rare it is.
Here, people grow up with art, style, and history in their DNA. It’s not that Italians are “slow” and we often complain about it, they’ve just mastered the art of being present…
And maybe that’s what shapes our generation too. We don’t want to rush through life or burn out to prove something. We want balance.
We want meaning. We want to do what we love — and feel valued doing it(regardless we are self -employed or employees !)
And yes….if we can’t work for ourselves, we still look for places where we’re truly appreciated.
And because this generation? We’re done settling for “just okay.” Life is one — and it’s ours to design,that is I personally understood for myself and see always more ppl doing the same choice.

![Some recent photos from life and a few reflections I’ve been sitting with lately.
It’s been a bit of a ride. My main job has me juggling so many projects I can barely breathe. Travel is picking up (gratefully!), but my blog? Overflowing with ideas , thoughts on Italy, culture, favorite comedies, and random tips I’d love to share like, “Oh! Just remembered this thing I had to tell you!” , but I keep second-guessing myself. “Is this relevant?” I wonder, and 80% of it never gets posted, should I get rid of these thoughts?🤔
The biggest lesson lately? Time management. My chaotic energy is both my superpower and my weakness. If I’d learned to channel it earlier, I swear I’d already be on the moon. Still, learning to support yourself, by yourself, is a lesson marked with a star, as not always there is smb ready to support you (unfortunately 🥹).
Dating adventures? May Italian men be friendzoned. My conclusion: we just don’t match. I have been dating them for a year and I’m done. But Friendships flourish, thankfully, so maybe this is the answer🙈and then… the love of my life is not going to be Italian? Never thought about it earlier…
Anyway They remain grateful, as I am ….we just don’t match❤️🩹

![From Ukraine to Italy at 21: My Superpower Journey 🇺🇦➡️🇮🇹
When I moved to Italy at 21, I thought it was temporary. If not for the conflict in Ukraine in 2013, I would’ve definitely gone back home.
The first 5 years were the toughest — everything felt unfamiliar and overwhelming. It took me five full years to finally feel somewhat “at home.”
Now? I feel like a superhero — solving problems like a pro….the price of being unstoppable 🦸♀️
I’ve learned the Italian mindset while staying true to who I am. Immigration made me grow up fast, become independent, and gain so much life experience.
If I ever have kids, I’ll encourage them to live abroad. It’s the ultimate school of life which shapes you into a whole resilient individual.
So I’d like to wish to all people going through the same:
Don’t be afraid of hard times abroad— they’ll only make you stronger and loneliness is temporary,remember it. One day, you’ll thank yourself for being brave enough to start. 💫
