When we got the video content back from speaking at the momentum.makersrei event this was my favorite reel because of the 2nd testimonial. Just got samples of the prettiest checkered tile and I’m obsessed! Matte finish. Beautiful quality. Here are 5 tips to help your project sell for more money…so SAVE THIS LIST to refer back to for you next flip or new build: 1. Paint the home office a moody color - Post COVID lots of people work from home and they want the space they spend 8 hours a day in to be a vibe! They want something that looks good on camera…something that doesn’t feel institutional. Give them a space they’d love to work in to help them fall in love with the house! 2. Use a white oak style flooring - It has mass appeal! Gray floors are out (sorry guys) and dark floors aren’t for everyone…Flooring has a HUGE impact on the overall feel of the house so go with what’s trendy and has mass appeal. 3. Install a range hood instead of a microwave above the stove - This is a hill I’ll die on so just take my word for it. 4. Give each bathroom a unique design - Cookie cutter/builder grade = the same boring finishes duplicated in multiple spaces. No charm. No character….seems cheap. 👎🏼 Buyers want the stuff they see on Instagram and Pinterest! Make their spaces dreamy! Especially the ones that would be expensive and burdensome for them to change. 5. Paint an accent wall and use a chandelier in the owner’s bedroom - Think retreat. Think zen. Think sanctuary. 😴 What would you add to the list? FLIP TIP! 🚨 Using a range hood above the stove (rather than a microwave/cabinets) is an easy and inexpensive way to elevate your kitchen design. 🙌🏼 This hood is self venting (so no need to do construction to add a vent for use) and costs around $200 but makes the kitchen look WAY more high end.
