Parenthood has a lot of curveballs but this was one of the sweet ones. My six-year-old just started first grade. He loves math and science and he actually reads pretty well but he doesn’t enjoy it. Getting him to read has been a struggle. I want him to have a love for reading but I haven’t been able to figure out how to make that happen. Last year we got the entire Bob book set but he complained that they were boring and didn’t make sense. I couldn’t really argue with him on that. Chickadee readers reached out to me via email and asked if they could send us their Readers box set for 4-7 year olds. They said there was no obligation to share, which is often what small businesses say when they can’t yet afford to pay for advertising. Sometimes I share these products, sometimes I don’t. I’m not a gatekeeper- if a product makes an impact on me and my family, I want other people to know about it. This product is very impactful. I like a lot about the Chickadee Readers books: The colorful and cute illustrations, funny storylines, high-quality design, and reading comprehension questions at the end of every story, just to name a few. My son loves that every time he reads a book he gets to put a sticker on the Map to Reading. Of course, he’s been promised a prize when he gets to the end. :) chickadeereaders if you have preschool to first graders and you’re looking to encourage their reading journey, I would 100% recommend Chickadee readers. Last weekend while doing some back to school shopping at Countryside Mall, we decided to burn some energy (and 💰) and checked out the newest indoor fun spot - Launch Family Entertainment 🥳 We loved that they offered a wide variety of things to do for all ages.
