5 easy tips to follow 🙌

1. Choose your fabrics wisely - this will make a huge difference. Natural fibres are often a better choice.
2. Dress head to toe in the same colour or tonally. And that does not just have to mean neutrals! Mixing textures stops your outfit from looking flat.
3. Stick to 2/3 colours in your outfit for a pulled together look.
4. Add interest/personality with statement accessories
5. Use one piece to bring all elements of your outfit together. This could be a jacket or a scarf etc.

10 years ago I was a senior buyer monsoon but I couldn’t do the juggle and was miserable feeling like I was failing at home and work…
So while I was on maternity leave with my middle daughter, my husband suggested I looked at personal styling as an alternative. I trained with londoncollegeofstyle and I set up my business with no real childcare and while my little girl was napping/in the evenings/at weekends…
Over the next five years I worked hard building up my styling business and then COVID hit… and overnight it all vanished as we isolated and shops shut. But I had a 6 month old baby and two kids to homeschool so it wasn’t as if there was much time to do anything other than survive! 🥴
… and then the second lockdown arrived and I decided it was time to get to grips with Instagram which I had never really done much with… and here we are 5 years later.
I do still work with several personal styling clients each week but Instagram is now a huge part of my work and although I had never imagined that would be the direction my business would take, it has afforded me so many opportunities. Not only working with many gorgeous female founded independent and high street brands but also creating ranges with the fabulous ameliaroseaccessories lovepinkroseuk clea_silk bypollyannaclothing
Without my husband’s nudge I’d never have become a stylist and without my family I couldn’t have built my business but its because of your support - your likes, comments & messages - that I am where I am today so thank you 🙏 ❤️❤️❤️
