![August 2017, i created this instagram. 8 YEARS AGO, i clicked “create account.” i was young, broke, and filled with nothing but dreams. i struggled, i learned, and i kept going even when it felt out of reach.
step by step, everything i once dreamed of started finding its way to me. my first opportunities, the subaru sti i pictured at 16, upgrading from a naked bike to falling in love with my first sportbike, the job that opened doors, discovering track and a whole new passion, and even collaborating with people i once only watched from a screen (comment if you recognize any 👀). i didn’t know it then, but i was building something bigger than i ever imagined.
now, i stand here with 1 MILLION of you beside me. opening doors i never thought possible. Buying my all time dream car, working with the freaking nelk boys, walking in miami swim week… a life that looks nothing like august 2017 when i was driving a $500 car and sleeping on a camping cott in an apartment with roaches.
it’s important for me to look back and see how far i’ve come. to give myself grace on the hard days, remembering i used to dream about the life i’m living now. in the slower months when content and engagement dip like it is now, when it’s easy to feel like giving up, i remind myself to pause, to reflect, and to see just how much can change in 8 years.
