My fav snack recipes I keep on rotation at the moment, prep at the beginning of the week and enjoy all week long :)

1. Carrot cake cookies
- recipe from the amazing bromabakery
- can find it as ‘Healthy Carrot Cake Breakfast Cookies’

2. Super easy granola
- 1.5 cup oats
- 0.5 cup soya crispies
- 1/4 cup nuts or seeds
- 1 mashed banana
- 3 TBS maple syrup
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

Combine and bake at 150 for 15 minutes, toss and then bake again for 15 or until golden brown.

3. Mint choc protein balls
- 10 medjool dates (soaked for 30 minutes)
- 1.25 cups oats
- 0.25 cup unflavoured pea/rice protein powder
- 1 TBS maple syrup
- 1 TBS cocoa powder
- 1/4 Tsp peppermint extract
- 1-2 squares of dark chocolate

Blend, add water if too dry as different protein powders affect consistency. Roll into balls, melt choc and drizzle on top. Finish with sea salt for that extra pop of flavour. Refrigerate or freeze to last throughout the week. 2025-09-04 16:33:17 My fav snack recipes .. 26 -33% 5 +119%
When it comes to split level classes I am the biggest advocate for teaching the same plan, with well thought through set ups + layered from beginner to advanced.

My two main reasons:

1. By exposing beginner clients to a broad range of exercises, the jump from beginner to intermediate is smaller and more manageable. Clients are then confident in their set ups for the moves we do in intermediate meaning only the extra layers are a fun surprise 🔥… not everything which is a bit overwhelming 😅

2. I am for the start position/layer of a move even in an advanced class to feel accessible so clients have autonomy to build up depending on how they feel! Eg. Even in my advanced classes I would start with a reverse lunge, then give the option for the back foot to lift before adding on all the extra crazy optional layers 🤪

Plus extra bonus.. less time spent planning!

Longevity training week 3! 🔥 Can’t wait to share final thoughts next week 😉

This week’s take away is to fine tune your exercise plan, it’s so much harder to slack off when you’ve set proper guidelines for yourself! I even plan what time I’m doing my workouts, lay out the clothes the night before, and plan my meals accordingly to make it happen 🙌🏼🙌🏼 2025-08-27 15:28:25 .. 27 -30% 3 +32%

THE BEST 🥳

1. Clients
It’s not often we start up conversations with new people, but once you start teaching this becomes your new normal, and in general people are wonderful! I’ve met the loveliest clients who’ve shared the most fascinating stories 🥰❤️

2. Flexibility
Being able to request as much time off as you need or book in little days off is definitely a major perk! I also designed my schedule to work in the mornings and have afternoons/evenings off for myself which gives me time to work on my hobbies.

3. Active lifestyle
Like any job and surprisingly even when you teach pilates - it can be challenging to get your own workouts in. Luckily you are always walking and moving around so getting steps in is no worries. It’s also easy to jump into other instructors classes, or use the gym when it’s lovely and quiet because everyone else is working 😉

THE STRUGGLES 😴

1. Crazy schedule
You work whilst everyone sleeps or socialises and then you rest + wanna socialise whilst everyone works haha

2. Learning to say no
All of a sudden you are your own boss and have to decide when you work and when you rest. This can be super hard when you start out and are setting boundaries, so much cover is always needed! I definitely recommend setting your own ‘work hours’ and trying not to accept cover outside of them.

3. Voice strain
Talking for 18 hours straight a week without stopping is not for the faint hearted. Learning to adjust volume and reduce cues with advanced classes has helped me minimise strain, but I definitely still feel it on bigger weeks! 2025-08-06 19:37:13 .. 32 -17% 2 -12%

As instructors I believe our top priority is for every client to feel seen and appreciated above all else 🫶🏼 I’ve relied on workout classes in some of my loneliest days for the social interaction, or through stressful times to help clear my mind. Thank you for welcoming me with open arms, you have become my family in Manchester over the last 7 months. Thank you for trusting me in your own Pilates journey and showing up even when it was freezing cold and grey, and then all of a sudden super hot haha! ❤️

I absolutely love teaching, and it’s so rewarding when everyone is as passionate and dedicated as all the amazing clients I have met this year.

1. You don’t have to pick between classical and contemporary

- I always thought I had to decide between the two but by practising the classical repertoire alongside more dynamic classes, I fell in love with the combination of both.

2. The simple moves where you don’t feel the burn are still working

- I used to chase the burn and worry when I wasn’t shaking that maybe it wasn’t working, but trust me it still is!

3. You can’t be everyone’s favourite instructor and that’s okay!

- When starting out it’s so hard to let go of the idea that not everyone will vibe with your teaching style, but I promise it gets easier. You find your own people and that’s what’s so special.

4. Pilates is so powerful combined with strength training

- 2025 marked the first year I started consistently strength training alongside my Pilates practice and wow, I definitely feel the fittest I have in a while!!

5. Privates are worth it 💯
