Not glossy, not sticky, just a great tinted balm. I recently received the pradabeauty new Banana Balm and it’s a lovely addition. A really subtle gold wash over any lip - more visible irl than I could capture on video - and incredibly moisturizing with a slight glossy finish. So I sprayed this, liked it. Did a wear test, FELL IN LOVE. It’s significantly different after a few minutes on the skin and develops beautifully through the day. #GiftedbyPradaBeauty. Is it that sweet? I guess so ✅💄(PR) I really like this PH-adjusting Prada Beauty lip balm! Main benefit IMO is how moisturizing it is with the slight glossy finish. Super pretty and the moisture lasts a few hours, plus the pink isn’t toooo pink on me which I like. It is $50 which is a heavy tag for a lip balm, but if you’re in the market for a luxury one I do think this is a lovely choice. Our long-awaited Italy trip was a ✨dream✨. I had planned on buying some beauty bits but with limited luggage space, I mainly bought food items 😅 I did get one special beauty piece - a gorgeous perfume called MM from aquaflorfirenze , a boutique perfumery that was actually housed in the ground floor of the palazzo we stayed in in Florence 🥹 swipe to see a video of the interior of the store and the courtyard. I wish I was holding the lip balm the other way up 😬 I’ve been super intentional with beauty purchases recently and was excited to try phytosurgence for the first time, after seeing several IG friends post about their new lip balms! I got the lip balm in Warm Waves shade and it’s a perfect daily balm. It gives a hint of color, definitely a MLBB shade for me, and just completely softens up the skin without leaving lips glossy or sticky. 4 serums in rotation for my morning skincare routine right now! Mini reviews below ⬇️ All received in PR, but a couple I’ve bought separately too. 1. Kaine Kombu Barrier Ampoule. This is a new product launch I was excited to try! It contains 73% Jeju-produced Kombucha which should provide antioxidant benefits, and Panthenol which my skin has always loved for soothing and repairing. It lived up to my expectations! The ampoule is light-medium consistency, and wonderfully soothing while adding a great moisture layer. My skin has benefited particularly from the soothing and hydrating properties when sensitive and red from the cold weather. My only gripe is the dropper does not always pick the product up easily. 2. Dr Jart Cicapair Intense Soothing Repair Serum is a SUPER soothing, lightweight serum that is so easy to add in to my morning routine. It’s more on the watery side for a serum but adds instant hydration and pairs perfectly with the Cicapair cream for all day calm and supple skin. This is part of Dr Jart’s new partnership with enhypen and I don’t see this version of the serum available internationally yet 🤔 3. Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Niacinamide Dew Drops. I love using this in the morning under moisturizer, particularly when my skin is dry and dull. It gives a gorgeous glow, has a silky smooth texture, and keeps my skin well moisturized and plumped. One pump goes a long way so the bottle lasts me a good amount of time. I did see on the website it says this can be used over makeup as a highlighter but this only serves as a serum for me…I can’t see myself using it as a glossy makeup product. 4. PSA Skin The Most: Hyaluronic Super Nutrient Hydration Serum. My skin drinks this stuff up and it is soooo hydrating. The ingredients list is packed with goodness including Sodium Hyaluronate, Organic Safflower Oil, Kombucha, Panthenol, and Acai Extract. I always notice increased elasticity and plumpness, with less flakiness, when I include this regularly in my routines. One of my favorite recent purchases 🫶 this drjart Ceramidin Cream Mist came in clutch when I panic bought it recently. My skin had completely dried out within a couple of days of the cold weather coming in this winter and I needed help! The mist is super fine with a creamy consistency and it gives my skin the extra moisture boost it needs, used alongside my regular serum and cream layers. I’ve used it morning and night for weeks, it absorbs really quickly and is lightweight, and I instantly noticed a difference with how less flaky my skin was. The Ceramidin line has been a go-to of mine for years, since I lived in Seoul and used to frequent the flagship Dr Jart store. This was one of the few products I hadn’t tried and I’m happy to report my skin loves it! houseofdohwa Rice Bran Sunscreen review! (Provided by thisiscopr ). Was excited to try this 😍 It provides great protection with SPF 50+ PA ++++ and no white cast left on the skin. The texture is ideal for my preferences. It’s a lovely light creamy consistency that spreads easily and leaves a soft, moisturized finished. It works well over skincare and under makeup, with no pilling in my experience. The packaging is also unique- it’s paper and designed so you can get every last drop out. My one call out is the fragrance- it’s pretty strong and floral. Not a deal breaker for me but definitely something to keep in mind if you’re sensitive to fragrance. Price is $24 with discount on intocoreelle , $32 no discount, which falls kind of mid-high price range based on most of the Korean or Japanese sunscreens I usually purchase. Overall, this is the exact type of sunscreen I look for, with high protection and perfectly cosmetically elegant. Take this crusty makeup off with me as I test the pyunkangyul Deep Clear Cleansing Balm (provided by bazzaal_ ). My main takeaways are a) this is one of the softest, most melty cleansing balms I’ve used in a long while and b) my eye makeup came off incredibly easily AND my eyes didn’t sting. There is no scent, texture is delightful and melts so easily as I mentioned above, and it is overall a super gentle and effective first cleaner. It emulsifies very easily and doesn’t leave a film, which I appreciate! I did use too much the first time and was left with a milky glaze in my eyes but have not experienced that since with using slightly less. The Pyunkang Yul Global store is now open and this is available on there and Amazon. I think the price is really good at $16 full price. I FINALLY tried the romandyou Glasting Melting Balms, and in one of the new shades, Scotch Nude. This was my Thanksgiving makeup for our dinner and I really like how the lip turned out! Swipe for different lighting ➡️ I found that the balm glides onto the lips super nicely and does feel just like a lip balm, with the beautiful tint. I will say that it gives a lovely shiny finish but not the high gloss finish that the marketing photos portray. I feel like I should have realized a balm wouldn’t be so glossy 🤔 The color is buildable and soo so pretty. I would say it’s a pinky nude. The color lasted pretty well but for that moisturizing finish I did need to reapply quite frequently, as I expected. I would say this is somewhat comparable to my favorite YSL Candy Glaze, but not quite as moisturizing and with a shinier finish (and obviously less luxurious packaging). The price is pretty unbeatable as everywhere I’ve seen them around the $10. I bought mine from Yes Style for $7.60. I would definitely buy more! I also have Nu Beige to try. Have you tried these? I’ve been wearing this for about 5 years now and I’m still obsessed. It’s pricey but really unique and lasts so well. ▪️Burberry New Hampshire Vintage Check Canvas & Leather Crossbody. This is my special little purse and perfect for evenings and dinners out. It’s such high quality and so easy to wear. ▪️Beigic Lucent Oil. This was originally gifted but I’d 100% repurchase- the hanbang scent is dreamy and I either mix this with my moisturizer or use as a stand-alone skincare step for added radiance. ▪️NARS Light Reflecting Foundation. I bought this for my sisters wedding and it’s SO pretty. It gives medium coverage with a full face, but for daily wear I just use one pump mixed with a glowy base and it’s perfect for lighter coverage and glowy skin. It also lasts really well on me. ▪️ Merit Sheer Bronzing Balm in Clay. This is an easy to use bronzing stick that gives a gorgeous sun kissed look. I use it almost daily! I want to try more from this brand. ▪️YSL Candy Glaze Lip Gloss Stick in Nude Pleasure is my must have right now. It’s moisturizing, gorgeous tint of color, and gives a really juicy finish. Minimal look, glowy skin, tinted lip ✅ This is my current go-to makeup style most of the time! First time trying the Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer and Elf Halo Contour Wand. The concealer is such a classic and I’m impressed- it seems really nice, lightweight, and good coverage. The shade of the Elf contour may be a bit muddy for me, I’m not sure yet. *taking a break* hiiii 👋 I don’t even know if anyone will see this as I’m probably completely out of the algorithm 😅 but I just wanted to pop on after months of not posting. I think this is the longest I‘ve ever gone without posting since I started SkinfullofSeoul in 2015, and it feels really weird! Right now, this account isn’t really resonating with my life. My life is full with my baby boy, family time, friends, working on our home, and my new job that I took 2 months ago and have really been enjoying. We also recently took our son back to England for his first trip there. It was so wonderful (the photo is from our visit), and we also have a trip to San Francisco in November for Mikey’s work to celebrate a recent designation he gained. We’re doing a lot and I’m so grateful. So after much thought, I’ve decided I want to step away from beauty and my SkinfullofSeoul social media for a little while, for the first time in 7 years. Just another 107global hit product 😬 It’s not often I find scalp clarifying shampoos that don’t dry out my curls, but here we are 😍 this shampoo was sent in PR but I also bought it! I’ve been testing it for just under two months so I could give a thorough review. Official description- “107’s SCALP PURIFYING Microbiome Shampoo removes dirt, oils and product buildup on the scalp to help keep hair healthy, from root to tip. I wash my hair 2-3 times a week with this and my scalp is noticeably less flakey and itchy 🙌 I think it’s also helped with volume at my roots. Guys 107global have a new product from a new line 🤩 this is the Vinbiome Vitamin C Serum from the Soseo line.
