A memorable morning… because it was the morning my kit got stolen! ❗️STORY TIME…❗️ At 2.20am, as I brushed my hair to get ready for Nirupa’s booking, a loser was rummaging in haste through my car. Completely unaware of what was happening outside my house, I came out of the house at 2.40am to pack the car. I noticed that back passenger seat was slightly ajar. “That’s strange. Did I not close the door properly yesterday?, I thought to myself. I carried on to open the boot, expecting to find my vanity case but, sh*t it wasn’t there !! The hair on the back of my neck stood up and sheer panic spread through my body. It definitely wasn’t inside with the rest of my kit. Someone has taken it!! I ran back into the house and stood there for a minute, taking a mental audit of what I had on me and what I didn’t have anymore. “Ok, foundations are still here in this other bag.. I’ve got my full hair kit. I do not have eye makeup, concealers, lip liners.. they’re all gone😨” I ran into my room and chucked any makeup products I could find into a plastic bag: Any spares in my stock, my own personal makeup, my sister’s. And then, I really needed to let Nirupa know the situation. I left her a voice note in the most calmest way I could- but my voice quivered. “Hey Nirupa .. I’m just letting you know I’m going to be about 15mins late. I don’t want to panic you, but some of my kit has been stolen in the last couple of hours. I still have foundations, skin prep, lipsticks and other bits that I could find into the house. But please could you just have your makeup ready just in case? We’ll be fine.. full hair kit is still here. I’ll see you in an hour”. When I arrived, Nirupa was lovely - she could tell I was a bit shaken up. We got on with it and the only TWO products I ended up using of hers was the mascara and concealer. I really managed to make it work with whatever I found at home.
