- Houston, Latin Night at the Museum was WILD 🪩 Mixers & Elixirs has been the event of the summer at hmns , and this one was their biggest yet, completely sold out with over 5,000 people dancing across multiple floors 🔥 Before you even walk in, there’s a lineup of food vendors from the braeswoodfarmersmarket . I kept it simple with a hot dog, but there’s something for everyone 🌭🌮 What I loved most? People were actually dancing—not glued to their phones. My cousin Jerry was TEARING UP the Paleontology Hall 💃🕺 If you go next time, don’t just stick to the first and second floors like we did at first—there’s a hidden DJ room on the fourth 👀 This was the last one of the summer, but don’t worry, they’ve got Footloose Flashback at the Sugar Land museum on Sept 19 and Spirits & Skeletons on Halloween 🎃👻 #houstonthingstodo #houstonnightlife #houstontexas #thingstodohouston
- Let’s visit Houston’s most viral bakery popup! 🥐✨ Casita Bakes has blown up on social media for giving us a behind-the-scenes “day in the life” look at how their pastries are made. They only pop up on weekends and the hype is REAL—the line took me about 45 minutes, and trust me, you’ll want to get there early before everything sells out. The menu is stacked with creative spins on classic pastries and desserts: churro cheesecakes, flan, cookies, cinnamon buns, and of course, their iconic croissants. I tried four croissants and their butter pecan monkey bread: • A bow croissant with stunning layers, perfectly crisp + buttery • A classic almond croissant, flaky, golden, dusted with powdered sugar + almonds • A mango croissant stuffed with silky cream + juicy mango chunks • A round croissant twist dipped in chocolate, dusted with pistachios + topped with strawberries • And finally, their gooey, nutty butter pecan monkey bread 🍯 Everything was delicious, but my favorite? The mango croissant 🌴—buttery, flaky, creamy, and bursting with tropical sweetness in every bite. ⸻ 📍 Address: 124 Little York Rd, Houston, TX 77076 ⏰ Hours: Friday 7-10PM, Saturdays & Sunday 12:30-6PM #houstonbakery #houstonfoodies #houstontx
- Hidden gem in the Heights ✨ Angela’s Oven was started by a former Marine turned baker, and it’s as cozy as it gets. I grabbed almond + chocolate croissants (perfectly flaky + buttery) and their ham, bacon & cheddar quiche: rustic, hearty, and heavenly 🥐🥓🧀 📍Angela’s Oven 1020 Studewood St, Houston, TX 77008 #houstonfoodies #houstontx #houstonbakery #bakery
