- Finding variety in movement 🏋️♀️ 🏃♀️ The last 6-8 months I've been on-and-off injured with tendonopathy in my foot. It's been extremely frustrating. I hurt it from too much running and walking (and probably not enough strength training to make sure I was balanced). Lesson learned? Stop trying to do too much too soon. Follow the physio exercises and find alternative movement that doesn't aggravate the injury. Although I have missed running far more than I thought I would (turns out I'm a runner in denial), I've tried my hardest to find other movement. From cycling to strength training and getting on the rowing machines. Fortunately, I can still teach and go to yoga classes! Last week I was told I could return to running **slowly** so I'm taking it seriously and will be introducing small, gentle runs only on a tredmill to get back into it. All whilst maintaining my physio exercises and doing other cardio to get my heart rate up. 💪 Also, the physio warned me I'd probably gain some extra kgs as I won't be able to exercise like usual.
