During my study abroad year I went to horror night like 3-4 times cause I had the year pass and lived nearby 😂 honestly it wasn’t that different from 10 years ago but they ofc had new themed rides - like the Chainsaw Man exclusive one! Might go back one more time before it ends 🎃
I think it might’ve been my first time going to Super Nintendo World at night time too.. cause everyone was at the horror night the lines were so short too!! Major USJ hack haha

If you’re looking for the perfect location to get a view of the Shinjuku skyline, people watch & see trains zip by, you’ll love the private rooms at Yakiniku Kuroki! (Literally the best view I’ve ever had...) 🌃
Located in the heart of Shinjuku, only a 1 minute walk away from the 3D Cat Billboard, this restaurant is hidden on the 9th floor.
I decided to try out their omakase menu (chef’s choice) which did NOT disappoint! 13 different dishes, including Marbled Wagyu, Shabu-Shabu, Sukiyaki & Clay Pot Rice. For some of the dishes you’ll cook it yourself at the table, for some of the other ones the staff will help prepare it for you.
Booking restaurants in Japan can sometimes be unnecessarily complicated, requiring you to call or use a Japanese website. For a limited time this summer there is a pop up held at Warehouse Terrada where you can see recreations of iconic Ghibli scenes and characters 🥹
I haven’t been to the new Ghibli Park yet so this is just a taste for how that’ll be! Ok… now it’s time for a Ghibli marathon! Which film is your favourite? Mine is definitely Howl’s Moving Castle, I’ve owned it on DVD since I was about 12 and watched it so many times! One of the few dubs I can still enjoy cause Christian Bale as Howl is just 😩💞

![I absolutely loveeee Japanese ice-cream and this has to be one of my favourites - the Choco Monaka Jumbo Ice Cream!! (monaka_jumbo_global) 🍦🍫
It’s basically an ice-cream sandwich that has a rice wafer, with vanilla ice-cream & chocolate inside! Biting into this is always so satisfying, cause the outside is crispy and the inside is so creamy.
Perfect anytime of year (especially now to cool down) & you can grab it from the convenience store, supermarket or even vending machines!!

Quite surreal getting seeing Billie live - I was blown away by her live vocals!!! So talented & sweet 😭
Also I think living in Tokyo it’s a LOT easier getting your hands on tickets to major international artists compared to back home & in the West! Had another friend who got up to barricade without crazy lining up either so it’s a lot more peaceful here. One of my fav parts about Japanese concert etiquette is that people do sing along but no one is screeching (like it tends to happen overseas now) & I love that you can hear the artist sing too. That said I’ve lost my voice for a couple of weeks now and couldn’t sing along at all at the show haha 😭 (getting this voice over done is a struggle haha)
DONT GET ME STARTED ON SEEING FUJI KAZE AS WELL 😭😭😭😭 best surprise last minute.
Anyway, feel super blessed to get to see all my favourite artists lately & have even more concerts lined up for 2025!! 🥹💕

I thrifted this Samurai Blue Jersey to wear to the match the day before! Was perfect - a very old design tho haha✌️ Also I was sooo impressed with the variety of food available at the match - from frozen coolish with grapefruit sour, fancy onigiri & mitarashi dango everything was so good 🍡🍙🍺

![Officially 30 🥳🎉
No better way to celebrate than a Japanese summer fireworks festival 🎆 👘 Planned it veryyyy last minute but was lucky that my bday happened to be on a Saturday & the same day as so many Tokyo fireworks festivals!! 😆✨
Was originally gonna hit up the Sumida Fireworks… & we luckily changed plans the day of since it was gonna be too packed (1 million plus people) so went to the Tacchikawa Fireworks festival instead! (Also about 400k attendance 😆) Best decision ever!!! They had food stalls, open fields to put your tarps down & close to the station 🍧 highly recommend!!
Alsoooo.. wearing yukata is so fun… but might not be for me anymore cause I got a mini heatstroke 💦 (my 2nd time now wearing yukata 😭) It knocked me out for 4 days after & been drinking water + pocari sweat nonstop since lol (so if my yukata looks messy… it’s cause I had to take my obi off to physically breath 🥹🥹)
Anyway thanks to everyone who made my 20s special! Excited for what my 30s will bring ❤️]()
