![Story time! Back in 2010, when I was 13 years old, I was lucky enough to secure a dream internship for mercedesamgf1 where I had the huge honor of being alongside the legend that is James Vowles (jv.f1 whom I’ll never be able to thank enough for the kindness and involvement in making my experience as complete as possible) for an entire week. One of the most enriching experiences of my life, and one I am forever grateful for. I could write about that week in much more detail, but that’ll have to wait for another time.
I hadn’t been back to Brackley & the Mercedes AMG F1 factory since… until this weekend. I can’t thank iwcwatches_ch enough for making this happen, as you know iwcwatches & the Mercedes AMG F1 team have collaborated for many years, and through this great partnership we were able to get a guided tour of the factory (which has changed a lot in 15 years!) and watch yesterday’s qualifying alongside some of the team, such a surreal experience, which brought back many memories & opened my eyes towards the shared ambitions of these two incredible brands. The cherry on the cake was to be able to wear the new IWC Ingénieur 35mm in rose gold 🤤 a piece I fell for back at Watches & Wonders a few months back. Having this beauty on my wrist for the day only made me appreciate it more, for its design, comfort & quality which are all out of this world.
If you can’t already tell, I had an incredible day & a special trip down memory lane, which is hard to sum-up in a few photos, but hopefully this gives you a feel for this unique experience.
Also huge thanks to alexdaysfilms for capturing the day, guillaumecriquet for putting all of this together 🙏 A special day that I won’t be forgetting anytime soon 😍

![Comme tu peux l’imaginer, avec toute la restauration de ma Mustang, j’essaie toujours de la garder dans un état clinique ! Et pour cela, je suis ravi de pouvoir compter sur la nouvelle collaboration entre armorall et redbullracing , inspirée du monde du sport auto !
Que ce soit pour la désodorisation de l’intérieur de la voiture, avec deux types de produits différents : les produits suspendus en forme de casque et les diffuseurs casques 3D (fabriqués en PVC souple),
ou pour les produits d’entretien extérieur, comme le shampooing brillant céramique pour protéger la peinture…

![New cars are fast… but old cars last 🤍
There’s no logical reason to like this car, it’s not particularly fast, it’s very tricky in town, it’s hot, it’s not very comfortable, it breaks down every so often… yet I challenge you to spend an hour with one and not leave the experience wanting one.
They just don’t make them like they used to… and that’s an issue 🖤

![Unfortunately the Mustang has spent most of the last few months in a workshop having some little tweaks done and waiting for some new parts!
Good news though is that thanks to pneusonline it’s now wearing some fresh tires again and hopefully 🤞 we’re getting to the end of ironing out all of the little gremlins that built up from it not being driven for 10 years basically!
Planning on using this a lot and am proud of the work we’ve done so far to get it back in to top condition. Driving beautifully and hopefully will stay that way for a while 😉

Malheureusement, la Mustang a passé la plupart des derniers mois en atelier pour quelques réglages et à attendre des pièces neuves !
Mais bon, quand même une bonne nouvelle, grâce à pneusonline, elle a maintenant des pneus tout neufs ! Et avec un peu de chance 🤞, on arrive bientôt au bout des petits problèmes qui s’étaient accumulés après 10 ans sans rouler.
Je compte la rouler très souvent, donc faut qu’elle soit en bon état quand même, je veux pas me retrouver sur le côté de la route en galère trop souvent 😉
D’ailleurs si toi aussi tu veux des pneus (ou des jantes) tout neufs pour ta voiture, n’oublie pas d’utiliser le code “SEB” sur pneusonline]()
