![Having shot with the X-Pro2 for the past five years, it was a no-brainer when fujifilmuk reached out to see if I wanted to take the new X100VI for a spin around town.
I’m so used to shooting while on the bike, so slowing things down with a stroll through Chinatown and Piccadilly was a refreshing change of pace.
Fujifilm’s festival, FUJIKANA, is running for two weeks in Covent Garden and I genuinely couldn’t recommend it more. The full Fuji lineup is available to test, along with a great mix of events and activities worth checking out.

![I’ve been riding the Yamaha XSR900 GP for the past couple of weeks, and honestly… it surprised me.
The CP3 engine has a reputation - loads of torque, loads of character and it lives up to the hype. With the Akrapovič fitted, it’s even better. Half the time I found myself rolling on the throttle just for the soundtrack. Take it out of town and pin the throttle, and you will soon find that this bike is no joke.
The riding position is definitely more committed than what I’m used to day to day. I’ve always wondered why people put up with sports bikes in the city - wrists, back, neck, the usual complaints. But on this, it never felt like a big deal.
Handling is dialled. Sharp, stable, and with electronics that stay out of the way, just like they should. The quickshifter is slick, the suspension deals with rough roads better than I expected, and overall it just feels properly sorted.
And then there’s the styling. The paint, the stance - it nails that 80s GP vibe and it turns heads everywhere. I lost count of how many people stopped to ask about it.
Would I commute on it daily? Actually, yes. And the fact that something this special still works day to day, straight out of the factory says a lot.

![I’m heading to Wales this weekend for a project and I thought I’d just share this clip from a trip I did a few years ago to the Elan Valley. Wales is a truly beautiful place (arguably underrated) and has some of the finest riding roads out there - that is, if the weather holds up… I love these single track roads where you can see for miles. It’s almost like the tarmac version of green laning in the sense that there are no junctions, barely any other cars, you’re not bound by having to stay on the left and ultimately you feel closer to nature and more at one with the 🌍]()

![The Notting Hill Carnival is the biggest street festival in Europe. Rooted in Caribbean culture, it began in the 1960s as a joyful response to racial tensions, bringing steel bands, elaborate costumes, and the sound of reggae to the streets. Today, it attracts over a million visitors from around the world, who come to dance, eat, and soak up the vibes.
This morning, I cruised down there to check out the aftermath of the celebration.
The sheer scale of the carnival means local shops and houses often take precautions, with windows and doors boarded up ahead of the weekend. These boards, however, rarely stay blank. Street artists passers by use them as canvases, filling the neighbourhood with colourful tags and throwups. Far from being seen only as a nuisance, this graffiti often transforms otherwise plain and quiet corners into bursts of creativity, echoing the carnival’s spirit of self-expression and freedom.
Once the final parade has passed, the transformation of the neighbourhood shifts again. On Tuesday morning, tradesmen flood the streets, removing boards, repainting facades, and restoring businesses to their usual rhythm.
Meanwhile, a huge clean-up effort gets underway. Rubbish is cleared, pavements are power-washed, and the echoes of carnival slowly fade. Yet traces of the festival remain in murals, in photographs, and in memory. The aftermath may be messy, but it’s a testament to the scale of the celebration - a reminder that Notting Hill has hosted one of the world’s greatest street parties.

![Let’s take a look back at the last few years.
It didn’t start with a dream.
It started with getting stopped by the police and told I had no reason to be out and about.
So I made one.
No roadmap, no big plan. Just a camera, a bike, and the desire for freedom.
Since then, I’ve chased the open road, trained harder than I ever thought I could, and learned to get comfortable with the uncertainty of life.
The road teaches you things nothing else can. So does the fight. So does trying to edit footage in a tent at 2am.
I don’t have all the answers, just a bike, a camera, and an obsession with Google Maps. But if you’re into the ride, the discipline, the detours, you’re in the right place.

![Life on the road has been class. Even the relentless Scottish weather hasn’t managed to dampen things though it’s certainly had a fair go.
Our days follow a simple but perfect rhythm: wake up, eggs and beans, splash through puddles, climb a hill, eat oat cakes, swim, 100 pull-ups, dinner, sleep. Then do it all over again.
We’re nearing the end of our Scottish tour and will soon be pointing the nose south, back to London, to hand back the Grenadier which, despite our best efforts, has carried us without a single complaint.
I’ll admit, I was sceptical at first. But after everything we’ve put it through, it’s been a joy… annoyingly so. Which means I now have to add it to the ever-expanding list of vehicles I definitely don’t need, but desperately want.

![There’s no worse feeling than being stuck in a bog and having no way out.
So when some friends up here in Scotland suggested driving the INEOS Grenadier through the bog which has in the past engulfed every 4x4 that has attempted to cross it, it was of course worth giving it a go…
Before setting off on this trip, a Grenadier owner messaged me and said the only issue they had with the car is that they couldn’t get it stuck…and it would inevitably make its way out of most sticky situations. I’ve had that in my head for the last few weeks and thought this bog could be the end of that… but apparently not.
I’m no 4x4 expert but this ineos_grenadier has impressed the hell out of me!

![Whilst driving south along the Kintyre Peninsula, we couldn’t help but notice the beauty of the Isle of Arran.
So we did what anyone would do and booked ourselves a ferry across for the next day.
After a quick dip in the burn and a few cans of baked beans, we made our way across.
We weren’t sure if we’d find any off roading as the island’s quite small, but we met some kind people on the ferry who steered us in the right direction.
After a driving a loop of the island, we parked up, laced up our boots and summited Goatfell mountain.
All in a days work ⛰️

![We kicked things off this morning bright and early with a ferry from Wemyss Bay to the Isle of Bute. Technically not off-roading, but we’ll count it. It floated. Hunter enjoyed the breeze, we hung out with some locals and rolled off the ferry.
We pulled over for a late breakfast and coffee on the beach, brushed our teeth in a lay-by and headed to our next stop; another ferry.
Got there early for once so obviously we got the pull up bar out and added to the tally.
Before we knew it, the ferry arrived and once back on land, we took the nearest dirt track we could find to a spot for the dog to cool off.
We drove deeper into the woods, almost scratching the grenadiers paintwork and eventually made our way back onto tarmac to head south along the coastal road to the Mull of Kintyre Lighthouse.
We arrived in time to cook supper, joined by a few locals, enjoyed the sunset over the headland , and finished the day with a night drive in search of our next camping spot.
No idea where we’re going next but we’ll take you along with us.

Setting off from London with the bags packed, we’ve made our way up to the Yorkshire Dales to give the Grenadier its first coat of mud.
What a feeling it was to get off the motorway and enjoy some of the off roading Yorkshire has to offer even with the cutlery clanging around in the boot.
We found ourselves a lakeside spot to park up and get the roof tent up. With some obligatory pull ups followed by a cold water swim and freshen up, we got an early night ready to push on to Scotland tomorrow.
