AM I CRAZY?! 🤪 I joined a show for entrepreneurs! Not just to showcase a new venture, but to test it in the realest way possible. Tens of thousands of entrepreneurs across the country auditioned for this show. Only 100 were chosen. That alone was wild. And if you know me, you know how uncomfortable it was to be selected to spotlight something that wasn’t fully kicking yet. Sure, there was a foundation, but the venture was still forming. Still evolving. Still becoming. I leaned in anyway because growth doesn’t wait for perfection. Real entrepreneurship happens in the middle of the build. I brought something new to the table. And while I’ve had wonderful, rewarding success with other ventures, this one was different. It demanded MORE. It wasn’t just a small business I could run lean and hands-on…this was a startup with real overhead, complex moving parts, and a bigger vision than anything I’ve built before. And I felt that difference. Getting it off the ground required grit, but also a whole new level of knowledge. There was so much I already knew, but had never needed to fully activate as a small business owner. A startup is a different world. And I had to face the fact that what’s required in today’s landscape is miles beyond what existed when I earned my MBA. So honestly, this experience felt like earning a second MBA…on turbo speed, in real time. The process on the show sharpened everything. It showed me what was solid and where I needed to go deeper. I’ve moved from owning a small business to running a startup, and if you’ve made that leap, you know it’s no small thing. Since filming, AFM has grown significantly! It’s more refined and more aligned than ever. This round is the best yet and it will keep getting better! I now have the results, the data, and the momentum to back it all up. Real, tangible evidence of how wildly unpredictable and wildly rewarding entrepreneurship can be. This kind of bravery is hard to explain. A thriving company is never built on luck; it’s built through stretch, sweat, and surrender. I feel incredibly blessed that I get to smile through it all. 🎉💕 Some years ago, I made the conscious decision to be very intentional about who shares in my energy—and it was truly one of the best choices I’ve ever made. That decision elevated my life in ways I couldn’t have imagined. Whatever wasn’t aligned with me naturally faded away. Working with Lung Trainers has been such a cool addition to my teaching! My students automatically share in the benefits of all my collaborations (lucky them, lol).
