Sankalp Vishnu - A Journey of Obsession & Purpose

My story is a testament to the power of following one's destiny. It began not in a kitchen, but in the demanding world of technology, where I developed a keen mind for strategy and analysis. Yet, a deeper calling a love affair with culinary arts and gastronomy was stirring within me, eventually becoming too powerful to ignore.

This profound obsession became my compass, guiding me to leave the predictable path & forge a new one. I started by becoming an administrator for one of the first & most vibrant food-centric Facebook groups, Hyderabad Foodies. It started with hosting dinners, which allowed me to experiment with flavors and share my creations with others. This led to curating culinary walks & expeditions, giving me the opportunity to explore different cuisines & share my knowledge with a wider audience. These experiences laid a beautiful foundation for me to enter the world of gastronomy. This was more than just a group; it was a community where my voice first found its rhythm. 

From there, I transitioned into a Blogger, Influencer & then a respected columnist, using these platforms to share my deep insights & personal experiences with food. This journey culminated in the profound honour of becoming a published author & a prominent food critic for the Times Food & Nightlife Guide, a role that allows me to not just observe, but to actively shape the conversation around dining experiences. As the Brand Host for Gourmet Passport, I'm constantly on the front lines, curating & promoting truly exceptional dining experiences.

My journey hasn't been a straight line; it's a tapestry woven with diverse & impactful roles, each one fuelled by a desire to contribute. As a mentor at T-Hub, where I draw upon my entrepreneurial spirit to nurture the next generation of innovators. As an advisor to the National Restaurant Association of India (NRAI-H), I pour my heart into shaping the future of the culinary industry. I'm also incredibly proud to be a co-founder of Vrihi Foundation and the Indian Culinary Agenda, an initiative born from a desire to elevate our nation's culinary standards.

Chef Ashwani Kumar Singh of Whisky Samba, I was amazed with bold, visually stunning dishes. Chef Shubham Thakur from the Hotel Leela Group impressed with his innovative blend of modern techniques and traditional elements. Chef Varun Totlani from Masque Mumbai brought his expertise in contemporary Indian cuisine, crafting edible masterpieces inspired by artistic expression.

The experience was a powerful reminder of food's ability to evoke emotions and tell stories, much like art. Hyderabad, also called the 'city of pearls' boasts a rich history, vibrant culture, and a culinary scene that's nothing short of spectacular. NRAI India Food Services Report 2024 reveals that Hyderabad has the fifth-largest organized food services industry in the country, with over 40,000 restaurants. It trails behind Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, and Pune, with cloud kitchens holding 40% of the market share.

As the capital of Telangana in southern India, Hyderabad is renowned for its distinct flavors, aromatic spices, and mouth watering dishes. The city's food reflects its rich heritage and diverse influences, and no visit is complete without trying the world-famous Hyderabadi Biryani. The NRAI report reveals that family is the most preferred company for dining out among Hyderabad consumers. Half of them opt for Fine Dining Restaurants (FDRs) or Casual Dining Restaurants (CDRs).

Despite its dynamic food scene, Hyderabad's food industry faces challenges such as high fees for obtaining liquor licenses and limited operating hours for restaurants. However, with combined efforts and support from the government, I'm confident that Hyderabad's food services industry is poised for unprecedented growth.

Many rooms provide breathtaking views of the Bay of Bengal, allowing guests to enjoy the beauty of the Bay of Bengal from their balcony. The rooms have comfortable beds, flat-screen TVs, Wi-Fi, and spacious bathrooms with rain showers.

They have two dining options - The Square – All day dining and Infinity – Roof top Bar. The all-day dining restaurant offers a diverse menu with local and international cuisines. The breakfast buffet is particularly popular, featuring a wide range of dishes to suit all tastes. The rooftop bar and restaurant are ideal for evening drinks and dinner with panoramic views of the ocean. The menu includes various seafood dishes, grilled specialties, and refreshing cocktails.

Bheemili is well-known for its history and natural beauty, and one can visit Bheemunipatnam Beach, Dutch Cemetery, Bheemunipatnam Lighthouse and Thotlakonda Buddhist Complex.
Overall Experience was very pleasant and relaxing with exceptional service and amenities. It is a perfect getaway destination for near and dear ones with the serene views, modern comforts to make it a memorable travel experience.
