Less than 20 days until my first 5k race!!!! 🤩

Fully in my running era now besties!!!! 2+ miles is a “normal” run for me now and I never thought I’d say that. Practice makes progress! I’m not the fastest runner, in fact I’m quite slow, but I’m still making more progress than the people who try to bring me down!

I used to be so nervous to even step foot in a gym, and now I’m so comfortable it’s like my second home.

If you’re having anxiety about going to the gym, remember that everyone is there to work on themselves. You are your own worst critic and no one will judge you as harshly as you judge yourself.

We all start as beginners. No one feels confident immediately. It takes time and consistency to feel like you know what you’re doing, so DON’T GIVE UP!

September is National Suicide Prevention month. For most of my life, I didn’t think I was worthy of happiness and felt like I had no reason to be here.

Lipedema has caused me to be insecure about my legs since age 6 when I sat down in shorts and noticed that my thigh was double the size of the girl sitting next to me.

I couldn’t understand why my legs, especially my calves were always SO much bigger than everyone else’s.

I remember being in gym class and looking at other people’s knees wondering why I couldn’t see my kneecaps.

These memories caused so much anxiety to the point that I didn’t show my legs in public for over 10 years.

After a lot of time and work on myself, I’ve learned to accept parts of me that I once hated. Yes, I have lipedema, but that doesn’t mean I’m not beautiful.

It’s all about perspective and gratitude ✨💛
