Miyajima Island completely stole my heart 💙⛩️ Just a short ferry ride from Hiroshima, this little gem is famous for its iconic floating torii gate, beautiful shrines, and the sweetest deer 🦌 . The atmosphere here feels so calm and spiritual, like time slows down the moment you step off the boat. The deer wander freely around the island just like in Nara, but I found them to be much gentler and friendlier here (and far less insistent when it comes to snacks!). While Nara’s deer are playful and lively, Miyajima’s add to the island’s peaceful vibe, making the whole experience feel more harmonious and relaxing. I have been to 35 countries and Kyrgyzstan is easily one of my top destinations. I remember just the night before my trip I met a friend of a friend who had no idea where Kyrgyzstan was. I was surprised as my own fyp was full of content from this amazing destination. But I guess it’s because I’ve been wanting to visit for over 2 years. I’m so thankful I was able to visit in 2025 and with the most beautiful group of girls. It’s truly felt like a girls trip. We had so much fun together and got to know each other at a deeper level. I think Kyrgyzstan can definitely be done solo but I’d recommend joining a a group as it’s more fun that way and you get to meet new people. It’s hard to also get around alone so definitely get a driver or go with a tour agency. I spent a week solo in Jambiani and I absolutely loved it. Here is everything I would recommend doing whilst staying in this part of the island 😍🇹🇿🫶🏼 1. Stay at tasneem_zanzibar , it is well located and has 2 private pools which you can use privately for 3 hours a day 😍 2. Rent a bike for $5 a day and cycle around the villages, you get to see so much and it’s so much fun 🌺 3. Do a pottery class at BE Zanzibar, I would also recommend getting a day pass and spending the day at the hotel as the food and atmosphere are beautiful 🌴 4. Rent a boat for the day 🌊 5. & go snorkling to see the most beautiful fish and star fish, please don’t be me and don’t hold the star fish as it’s not good for them. I had no idea and kept asking the boat guy if it was okay and he insisted it was fine. You won’t see as many fish as other parts of the island but still a lovely experience 🐠 6. Enjoy the beautiful beaches in Jambiani 🏝️ 7. Go on evening beach walks which were my absolute favourite and interact with locals and have a coconut 🥥 8. Have local food at SCUOLA, the food is so yummy but be prepared to wait for a while as everything is made fresh 🥘 9.
