Thoughts... Sublime should be in the Rock n roll Hall Of Fame someday. There's already a ton of other artists who aren't traditionally rock and roll inducted, and to me, they've influenced more modern music, which is classic rock at this point, then just about any other artist. That's not inducted yet. I get it. This song is amazing! The first time I heard it was listening to a Performer on a restaurant patio sing it and I thought it was just a brilliant simple song. The Grateful Dead is one the funnest bands to do covers of especially since I can lay down percussion and organ instrumentation with the guitars, beatbox, percussion and organ instrumentation with the guitars. Someone requested this, and on the spot, I came up with this etheric version of My Hero by Foo Fighters. It was fun, and I freaking love synth pads. It's a sound I've always wanted to use but never had access to until now. This has etheric pads in the high register and a big low bass with a smidgen of bit-crusher added. I've noticed a fun looping technique for building songs is two loop vocals and then create an acapella breakdown near the end of the song.
