Happy birthday to my beautiful, crazy, lady I get to call my wife ❤️

Thank you for coming into my life, and turning it into what it is today.

One year ago right now I was sipping wine, smashed in a bath, plucking up the courage for what was about to happen 💍

I love you more today than ever. Thank you baby ❤️

To many more years, more travels, I am forever grateful for you and everything you’ve brought into my life.

I don’t mean this to sound braggy because it’s far from it.

I’m so grateful for this life I have now. I have the perfect wife, perfect street dog and shrimp. I see people living such empty lives chasing clout, but I can truly say I am so grateful. For everything this woman does for me, coming home to the two boys. Everything.

I’m working hard right now. Inshallah it will all pay off. Onwards and upwards.

To the man who gave me everything,

From turning up to every sports event, every martial arts session, repairing my first car when I crashed it, every holiday we’ve had, buying crazy expensive bmx’s when told you it would be a quarter of the price. Telling me to man up consistently and how real men don’t give a shit 😅
Glad the conica trunks have disappeared after all these years (If you know you know) 🥴

You’ve taught me so much.
Thank you for showing me how to be a man.

Let me be very, very clear here ☝🏽

As someone who does online coaching and personal training, some of you do not need a online coach. Some of you need a actual PT, who can stand in front of you and make you do the work!

Knowing your downfalls is the start of making a productive approach to your physique and your fitness goals. If you’re someone who a) can’t consistently train hard. Or b) can’t stay consistent in getting in the gym and staying relatively ‘on’ on a diet then coaching isn’t the answer for you.

Some people just need someone in front of them to show them how to train with a relative level of intensity, they need someone to report to in person to get in the gym multiple times a week and make progress.

If your not following your online program, honestly it might just be something that’s just not for you. Clearly lately there’s been a boom of online coaching (which is fine, the more people trying to better themselves and the more people helping people the better), but if you’re not someone who can follow X,Y and Z. Then realistically as a coach you can’t really do too much if you’re just not doing what you should.

Ultimately you don’t know what you don’t know, right. If you don’t know how to train properly and you don’t know how to follow a diet, then maybe, a personal trainer who you see in person is a better approach?

I understand online coaching (especially in dubai) is cheaper and seemingly more convenient, but if you’re not someone who can rely on yourself to follow instructions and do it day in day out with maximal intensity, maybe online coaching isn’t for you and a pt would be a better approach🤷🏽‍♂️

Feel free to drop me a message and online coaching or personal training and ultimately seeing which one is best for you 👊🏽 2023-08-26 18:43:11 .. 55 -48% 6 -25%
Little clip of some heavy stuff today.

I don’t honestly focus on weight too much and just getting reps done. Now, it’s about reps with intent and connection with the exercise.

Last year to now.
Dieting vs bulking.

It’s not always pretty, you have to go through periods like this to build tissue, to be slightly fatter then you want, not feel comfortable, pushing food and eating way more then usual.

I’m tired of all the fitness bs, the reality is, if you want to improve you have to go through certain periods. Like dieting, you go through a skinny fat phase, where you’re not lean and you’re not off season full.

Calling out the bs, this is the reality of trying to get bigger. You don’t ‘accidentally’ add muscle. You can’t lose belly fat, your 6 week crash diet will probably result in you piling on more weight after… there’s no magic pill with fitness, it’s consistency, it’s doing it when you don’t want to, and it’s looking (at times) a little different to how you’d like. 2023-08-17 18:57:19 .. 67 -37% 3 -63%
When it’s all said and done don’t forget to just enjoy it.

Ultimately if you want to have a physique you’re happy with you have to enjoy the process, the upkeep, the work.

It’s not about enjoying all of it all the time, but you have to enjoy working out, eating clean, etc. If you don’t enjoy it, honestly my best advice is to find something that does work for you, whether it’s an outdoor sport, any form of exercise. It’s about building a consistent framework that works for you.

Give it time and it will work. Ultimately if you’re not enjoying the majority of what you’re doing it might just not be the right approach for you. 2023-08-14 20:53:01 When it.. 123 +16% 5 -38%
HEAVY PRESSES!

Shoulder position and Initial set up are key! That first rep dictates how your set will go. So make the most of it!

Always work your shoulders back into a retracted, lowered position with the scapula pulled back and down.

From there, I tell my clients to punch to the end position (top of your press). Don’t get in the hole and then think about generally pushing, instead think drive to the end of the motion. This doesn’t mean press fast just solidly into end range.

In my initial set up another note is pushing hard against the back board and making sure you keep as much tension there as possible!

So, next time you’re trying to press heavy, give it a go 👊🏽 (optional face pulling)

Sean looking better then ever! And this is just the beginning 🔥

Me and Sean started working together 4 or so months ago and here we are! Awesome work! Bets he’s ever looked and at 40 too. Minimal food changes, complete overhaul of training and cardio and the right is where we are today. He used to do 40-50 minutes cardio post session, low food and training that wasn’t focused on ‘strength’. Now we have lower cardio, organised food structure and Sean’s stringer then ever!

Execution should take president! IMO strength should come first however focus firstly on really getting strong in your movements.

Forget that minutiae, forget XYZ elbow angle and all the others spend time doing heavy presses heavy hip hinges and understand how to fundamentally safely load the body with eight and get strong.

Then when you’re at a strength level look at applying that more accurately. Think of this, on a leg press it’s pointless having low foot placement, pausing at the bottom and contracting the quads from the hole if you’re just moving the machine with no weight. These things should be applied when a certain level of load is being used.

Look at anybody who has muscle in the gym chances are they can move serious weight. Obviously don’t completely disregard form but there comes a point where accuracy in how you move a load should take precedence.

I spoke to darrenfarrell_ifbbpro today and said I move exactly the same weights as I used to yet I move them far more accurately. And it’s showing in my physique.

When your first training understand what muscle your targeting how to target it then, get strong. Now I’m at a point I’m already strong, so the risk to reward with moving excessive loads becomes far to much. Instead now the focus is on owning every rep before looking at further increasing load. 2023-07-18 21:48:35 Execution s.. 71 -33% 2 -75%

One of the most butchered exercises in the gym.

The importance of not just chasing numbers!

Have I done heavier then this? Yes by far.

But as we start to chase numbers we often lose execution sharpness over time! I really have scaled my training to focus on execution over all else. Depth, various ques, speed, are all things that come before an extra rep.

Firstly you have to be at a level of strength where this is applicable, if you’re someone who struggles with overall strength then focus on getting strong first. Then look at moving that weight as perfect as possible when the weight warrants it.

On the left, when I first came back to dubai after covid.
On the right is me now, 32kg difference 😅

So, on the left I had no coach, no real goal. First step I would suggest anyone with any fitness goal is to look at getting a coach. For me I always thought I trained hard, thought I had a structure but having someone accountable to keep you on track is massive! darrenfarrell_ifbbpro has largely been the driving force behind this. Aswell as cammackay_ . They have truly changed how I implement structure with my clients, the way I go about training, diet, programming, literally everything!

Now, not saying you will not progress if you don’t have a coach but personally I know for a fact I wouldn’t be where I am now without having one.

I know if I don’t have someone to keep me accountable over time I slack off, knowing this has been key to me progressing, knowing I have to get X done daily has meant I stay on track.

Regardless of your level within fitness knowing areas you need to work on are massive to your progression. You wouldn’t train like shit and not do something about it if you know that’s what was holding you back, right? So why do that with other areas, like diet, like being accountable, showing up on days you don’t want to… 2023-06-19 19:12:16 On the l.. 112 +5% 11 +38%
Should men and women train the same?

Ultimately yes!
Focus on getting strong should be your primary goal. There’s an massive focus for women to train with ten variants of kickbacks and ultimately, as a beginner, it’s much better for female clients to develop a strong hip hinge with correct execution. As I would get a male client to do.

What does change, with programming, is emphasis on areas of growth. Generally women will do slightly less upper body and more lower body focus although this is dependent on individual goals.

Ladies, if you have any questions on exercises drop me a message and i’ll be happy to help. 2023-06-18 22:55:51 Should men and wome.. 38 -64% 3 -63%
