One of my favorite definitions of the word Guru is - The Heavy One. Whether by grace, by will or some combination of both, certain souls are like a bowling ball on a mattress - they warp the space around them and draw you into their orbit.
By this metric, Peter was a Guru. And while there are scores of people that knew Peter better and for longer than I did, his friendship over that last few years imprinted on my heart the rarest of blessings: proof that love is not just real but becomes more real when we share that love in the way we walk through this life.
