- Most people think being a Yoga Teacher and Coach is all about fancy poses in exotic locations, but the reality is far more raw and real. Behind every serene shot is years of practice, discipline, countless early mornings, and juggling multiple gigs….moments that rarely make it to your feed. As yoga teachers, we live a life of constant learning. It’s not always glamorous, but every drop of sweat and every struggle shapes our journey of true growth. And one question we’re always asked, ‘You must have been flexible since childhood, right?’ The truth is, most of us were not naturally flexible when we started. Flexibility, like everything else in yoga, comes with years of practice and dedication. This path requires commitment, showing up every day, pushing through challenges, and evolving to become better teachers for our students. We transform not just our body but our entire life. In this profession, material gain might be less, but the impact we create is worth so much more. For us, the real magic happens off camera - the moments we rarely showcase✨ So next time you meet a yoga teacher, remember, their journey is more than just what you see online. Ask them about their practice, their struggles, and their growth. You’ll be surprised at the depth beyond the poses! [Yoga, Yoga teacher struggles, Yoga Journey , Yoga poses, yoga photography]
- For years, I believed simple clothes, no jewellery, and a bare face were the only ‘right’ way to live if you were on a spiritual path. But one day, while offering flowers at a temple, it struck me, we don’t adorn the deity to hide its divinity, but to honour it. The colours, the fragrance, the ornaments…it’s all a celebration of what’s already sacred. That day, I let go of self-judgement. I realised that Shringar is not just about appearance, it’s far deeper. In Indian tradition the 16 Shringar (Solah Shringar) were never just rituals of beauty. Each adornment has a subtle yogic and Ayurvedic significance , influencing a specific chakra, nadi, or energy point in the body. They were designed to enhance feminine energy (Shakti) and to balance the mind, body, and soul. So today, when I add a dash of kajal, a tint of blush, or a pair of earrings it’s an offering to the inner goddess. The same divine in me, that’s in you 🌸 I’m not saying every woman must wear makeup or ornaments. But if it makes you feel good, if it feels like a celebration of you, do it. Because sometimes, adorning yourself is also devotion. Some of you might agree, some might see it differently, I’d love to hear your thoughts. 💛 [mindfullness, spirituality, wellness, explorepage , yogaeverydamnday]
- What changed for me when I finally started putting myself first? This was a question I was asked while on a panel moderated by Puja Khan recently and honestly, it stayed with me. As women, we’re expected to be available,to our family, kids, work, home. But no one teaches us how to be available to ourselves. We go gluten-free, sugar-free, dairy-free… But rarely guilt-free. For me, the shift came the day I stopped doubting myself. I stopped waiting for someone else to believe in me. I started believing in my own dreams. I started waking up just 20 minutes earlier, not for chores, but for me. I began journaling honestly. Not to be positive, but to be real. I started positive self inner talks. I made one small promise to myself each week and actually kept it. I started serving myself warm food—just like I’d do for someone I love. I gave myself permission to dream again. Took rest when I was tired. To be proud without having to explain it. Because you can’t pour from an empty cup. Everything changed after that. Not overnight but slowly. In the way I walked, talked, created, parented, worked… and lived. So here’s me, showing up for myself every day. With my flaws. Owning it. Believing in what I bring to the table. ✨ What changed for you when you started choosing you? #rinahindocha #yogaday #yogaforoneearthonehealth
