Denver, you were amazing! 💛 Last week I had the chance to explore the city with Wheel the World and Visit Colorado alongside an incredible group of attendees, all experiencing accessible travel in their own ways. From adaptive kayaking with thenscd to adaptive yoga with guided_by_humanity, convergencestation, amazing food at brew_ability brambleandhare and mercantiledenver, and learning about accessibility at redrocksco - every moment was unforgettable.

Huge thanks to wheeltheworld and visitcolorado for making accessible travel feel effortless, and to all the inspiring leaders and fellow travelers I met along the way. Can’t wait to be back soon to try adaptive skiing! ⛷️💛

Missing the good old days when you could get ahold of an actual person!

Tech made some things easier, but getting clear info about accessibility? Nearly impossible. Most leasing offices use bots now, which is great for basic questions, but useless for anything nuanced. I visited multiple places just to learn they weren’t accessible. Accessibility isn’t just elevators, it’s access to real info. Tech should support everyone, not just the average user. #AccessibilityMatters #InclusiveTech 2025-09-05 21:35:26 Missing the good ol.. 990 -41% 32 -61%
Thank you all for the kind words since my big announcement! Now let’s get into what’s next - APARTMENT HUNTING. 😅

Finding an apartment is stressful for anyone - but when you have cerebral palsy or a disability, accessibility becomes the number one priority. In my newest YouTube video, I’m sharing my personal experience apartment hunting as someone with CP, the challenges I faced when trying to get clear answers about accessibility, and how AI chatbots and assistants actually made the process harder instead of easier.

Go check it out if you have some time! And stay tuned here while I break down the key takeaways over the next few days! 🩷 2025-09-05 04:26:02 Thank you all.. 2,132 +26% 40 -51%

#CBearShares: How I Do Things! In this case, showering in my first ever walk-in shower. I can do tubs, I just need extra stability from a grab rail and sometimes it bothers my knees. Hence why I’m so spoiled by this set up that I’ve had for two years! Before this, I never had a walk-in situation.

This series was created to show how I do regular things with Cerebral Palsy (CP). As a reminder, CP can look very different depending on the type and level of severity. These are just fun and quick videos that allow me to share what my version of CP is like. 🥰

In some instances you’ll see how I adapt, in some you’ll see how I do things just as an able-bodied person would. All in an effort to destigmatize society’s views on disabilities. We’re all human, and we all do things our own way!

What other things are you interested in seeing me do?!

Getting x-rays, MRI’s, cat scans, etc., can be a bit challenging with cerebral palsy in my experience, and I’m interested in hearing from others about what it’s like for you!

baby pictures loading…

As soon as I started this series, I knew W would be dedicated to W sitting. Although I don’t do it now, I don’t think my body could even get into that position… it still is something I think about very often because I’d constantly need to be reminded to sit in different positions as a baby and toddler.

Did anyone else deal with this?!

I started a series about things I wish I knew about cerebral palsy before having to experience them first-hand by going through it with words that start with each letter of the alphabet! #CPaTOz

after a ridiculously long pause (my bad🙈) we’re back with the final five letters of the alphabet series this week!

for V, I chose to discuss the visible versus invisible aspect of cerebral palsy that some people deal with, as well as how important visibility in media is. I look forward to hearing your experiences with this topic in the comments!

Happy August! 💛 I wanted to be a bit vulnerable to kick off the new month. Vaguely vulnerable is the term I’m coining this post, there’s a lot I’ll be sharing soon, but I’m not quite ready yet - so for now, just a little reflection. So please stay tuned!

I’ve been feeling this urge to start writing again. Writing how I feel as I both reflect and look forward. Writing has always been my therapy, a way to explore my feelings and understand myself better. It’s what started my social media journey, sharing honest stories about living with cerebral palsy.

I recently realized I haven’t felt like myself this past year, which explains my social media inconsistency. I’ve had joyful moments with friends, family, and travel, but something felt off. Maybe it’s being in my thirties and reflecting on life not going as I always assumed it would go, finding a husband, starting a family, etc., Though I’m happy with my career and life, there’s been a lingering, strange feeling. I’ve never felt pressure to hit certain marks by a certain age but something about your thirties just makes you reflect in ways that feel a bit heavier I suppose.

I believe you can’t appreciate the highs without the lows - so I’m not sharing this to complain whatsoever. This year brought many realizations, shifts in friendships, and lessons about being intentional with my time, business, and finances. I faced sadness that left me unmotivated without fully understanding why.

But now, I’m starting to feel like myself again. I’m excited for the future and new projects. I’m grateful to this community for the support and patience while I privately worked through my growth.
