This summer TUI opened up a sensory room at the beautiful tui.blueaura making it more inclusive and welcoming of autistic/ neurodivergent guests and their families.
From check in we could definitely feel the aura, warm, kind and inclusive with very patient and welcoming staff.
We were so impressed at how much activities there is to do at the resort and so easily booked via the TUI app, we got up to so much and spent our evening relaxing in the sensory room ☺️
The resort also has an onsite water park which was free entry for guests and only a few minutes walk from the beach.
Food is usually a worry for us when we travel but my autistic son had a variety to choose from with plenty of his safe foods always available, we also enjoyed the on site Teppanyaki restaurant on one night during our stay which was a brilliant experience.
We’ve travelled to over 30 countries together as a family and with countless hotel stays but our stay at tui.blueaura is hands down the most autism friendly we’ve ever stayed at and one I highly recommend to all families with autistic/neurodivergent loved ones.

![We don’t often talk about the reality of Autism after 18, and to be honest even if I tried to explain I don’t think any words I use can adequately capture the true reality of it.
From when Kevin was diagnosed with Autism at 4 years old, my biggest worry as I’m sure many SEN parents can relate has always been his future, what that would look like and who and what I need to be to as his mother to help him achieve his full potential.
Over the past few months I’ve driven myself nuts with worry because the reality of helping him navigate this season especially transition into work has been challenging to say the least and has me feeling like such a failure of a parent for just not being able to get it right.
But i know that my tears is not what’s going to secure my sons future and if I don’t move then nothing will move for my son so I have to do what I have to do no matter how out of my comfort zone it feels.
I’m incredibly grateful for our community, an amazing virtual family, a lot of you have been with us and know Kev’s story and journey especially in the last few years through college, internship, work experience, work trials, the disappointments he experienced and the joys too sharing all the emotions that came alongside these with us.
I just want to give my son a chance at life and the security of a job that he loves and that nobody can fire him from.
