![I’m lucky to have known my wife for 17 years. Though she only decided I was the one last year. I forgive you Jaanu, nobody’s perfect. I always knew she was smart, kind, and se&y as all hell, but this year I’ve seen the crust of who she is. She’s had to be there for our parents as they navigate and overcome health issues, she’s had to adapt to a Canadian winter after growing up next to the most beautiful beaches in the world, and of course she’s had to learn how to take on the role of stepmom (I hate that word) to a child that she’s just getting to know, but who loves her as though she’s been ours forever, I feel the same. Thank you. To be with me she’s had to take on roles she did not ask for, and she’s done so with grace and good humor (and the occasional cuss word). Despite the fact, she insisted on wearing this designer red sari at our wedding one year ago today instead of a Calgary Flames jersey, I still promise to love her forever. We had an old Ford Granada car that had a few issues, one of them was that the cassette deck wouldn’t eject the tape called “Dev Anand hits”.. so when some family visited from India, they asked my mom if I had any talent… she was sure I didn’t….
