Happiest 2nd Birthday to Dominic!! We spent the day at SeaWorld and had a blast together. Dominic is happy almost all the time and quick to smile. Love my baby boys!!! A month ago, for my birthday, we took an overnight trip to Naples, Florida. We had a blast playing in the hotel pool, feeding giraffes, holding birds and watching the sunset at the beach. Top tips for toddler sleep on vacation: - Do your normal night time routine no matter what. Brush teeth, get in pjs, read a book and cuddle. Even on a plane or in the car we try to do a modified bedtime routine to signal sleep centers in the brain. - Be flexible. Life happens and your on vacation. Chances are they’ll get to bed later than normal once or twice. Try not to stress about it too much. The experiences and memories are more important imo. - if you are going to have a time change try to tough it out and sleep at the new normal bed time so that you can have normal daytime hours. But also avoid an overtired kiddo, it’s a tough balance honestly. - finally, things aren’t going to go perfectly. Try your best and make adjustments as needed. There are products you can try, but I prefer to travel minimally so I don’t have a lot of recommendations. Our first night in Sweden both kids slept straight through the night, they were so tired.
