I’ve been taking this class 2x a week for around 6 months and I can ALMOST do this pistol squat unassisted!

This is so freaking good especially as you age. You do so many functional movements that increase and improve mobility, flexibility, stability, and strength.

In my maintenance era in my 40s, a nutrition coach, and a mom of 2!🩵

After so many years in my 20s and 30s chasing after fat loss it feels so freaking good to just be able to LIVE while prioritizing strength training to build more lean mass 💪.

A deficit day can look very similar, just portions shaved down slightly.

You can eat the SAME foods in a deficit and in maintenance it just comes down to how much! 🥗🐔🍤🍕🥦🍫 

I’m 5’ around 115 pounds. This typical day is around 15-1700 calories and around 100g of protein.

Plus one coffee, all the water, 3-4 days strength, 2 cardio, one active recovery day.

🍋 Easy Grilled Asparagus with Lemon-Garlic Marinade

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Marinate Time: 10–30 minutes
Cook Time: 5–8 minutes

Ingredients:
	•	1 bunch fresh asparagus, ends trimmed
	•	1½ tbsp olive oil
	•	Juice of ½ lemon (about 1–2 tbsp)
	•	1-2 tbsp minced garlic
	•	1.5 tsp pure maple syrup (just a dash for sweetness)
	•	salt and pepper to taste

Grill for 3-5 minutes rotating halfway through. 

You can also roast or throw into the air fryer just won’t get that grilled char.

✨For those of you who want to cocktail it up but keep your sh*t tight, here are 4 non negotiables around your drinking habits.✨

1️⃣ Workout the day of AND day after 💦 . You wanna play hard you gotta work hard. A hangover is not an excuse not to get sweaty and this can be a slippery slope down the line of letting yourself “off the hook.”

2️⃣ Eat REGULARLY but keep it tight 🥗 🐓 - Fill your day with mostly protein and fiber plus moderate healthy fats, and complex carbs. This will give you enough belly coating while also being smart about calories to free up some wiggle room for the booze. Starving yourself, besides dumb, will backfire and leave you knee deep in 🍕 at 2am.

3️⃣ Don’t be GREEDY- Choose cocktails or dessert, NOT both. These are called indulgences for a reason.

4️⃣ Ditch the specialty cocktails- drink and think like a skinny person: vodka, tequila, citrus, seltzer…maybe a glass of wine or two…done and done.

✨Late night eating 🍟 is off the table so if you struggle with this on the reg, you’ll need to have a conversation with yourself.

✨Limit drinking to 1-2x a week max. Mindless alcohol consumption is adding up to thousands of extra calories per week and IS most certainly one of the reasons you can’t lose weight.

Using a hero low carb tortilla with grilled chicken breast that I marinated in olive oil, lemon, garlic, salt and pepper.

Israeli salad, tzatziki, drizzle of tahini, pickles, added a dash of hot sauce at the end needed a kick.

Eat smart. Use low calorie high protein components to make A LOT out of a little.

Now…don’t get me wrong. I like a good 🥗 once in a while but they’re so much more enjoyable when you WANT to have them randomly over feeling like you HAVE to have them ALL of THE TIME in order to be thin, fit, skinny, lean whatever your word is.

BIG reminder that healthy food doesn’t equal fat loss. Fat loss comes down to calories and even if you’re not counting them, your calories still COUNT. You can have the healthiest diet ever but you won’t lose weight if you are still eating too many calories.

A typical salad with all of the add ons can run you towards the 6-800+ range. Between the avocado, dressings, nuts, seeds, crispies, etc…it’s a free for all of you’re not overly conscious.

This lunch on the other hand comes to 300 calories and 35g of PROTEIN:

1 hero wrap
4oz chicken breast (made in the air fryer)
1 tbsp tzatziki
Crunchy veggies
Dash of hot sauce
1/2 serving of sietefoods kettle chips

Protein ✅
Healthy Fats ✅
Fiber ✅
Complex carb ✅
Crunchy fun ✅

Stop judging food by its cover and start educating yourself on how much certain foods “cost” so to speak. 

This will give you way more freedom and you’ll actually be able to enjoy your favorite foods on the reg instead of force feeding yourself meals bc you think it’s the “right” thing to do.

Try this out and I promise this will not only drive progress more efficiently but make you so much happier.

Turkey for the win! Or rotisserie chicken, or chicken breasts in a zip lock, I don’t play favorites.

You know the protein bars that claim to support your goals but are basically just candy bars wearing gym clothes? Yeah… hard pass. 🙅‍♀️

15 grams of sugar, 9 grams of random ingredients, and like…7 grams of actual protein plus a sh*tton of calories. Cool. If I wanted a glorified chocolate bar with a splash of whey, I’d just eat a Snickers and call it a day.

Meanwhile, I’m over here in my car chomping on 1/4 pound of low sodium turkey for 120 calories and 28g of protein. 

Is it glamorous? No. Pinterest-worthy? Definitely not.

But it is totally on-brand for a busy, strong ass woman who wants to keep her sh*t tight.

So if you love your bars—you do you, but just know there are WAY BETTER options that can be just as convenient, insanely better calories and macros, and keep you satisfied for way longer...PSA always wash your hands.

Easy, High-Protein Spaghetti Squash Pasta Bowl 🍝

Save this for when you’re bored with the same old and dinner needs to be a win and share with your bestie who also needs this in their life.

High protein, low carb, filling, and actually tastes good—because you can enjoy your meals AND have a tight a$$ all at the same time. 

Here’s what you’ll need for this creamy, spicy, protein-packed situation:

Ingredients:

- 3 tbsp olive oil + 2 tbsp grass-fed butter (yes both, you’re welcome)

- 3-4 tomatoes, diced (heirloom, roma, whatever)

- 1-2 tbsp fresh garlic

- Handful of fresh basil- chopped

- Juice of one 🍋 

- 1 small spaghetti squash (cut horizontally and air fry at 375 for 15-20 minutes flipping halfway through)

- 2 servings of high-fiber pasta (I used carbe_diem_foods )

- ¾ lb ground white meat chicken (prepped ahead because you’re prepared)

- Salt, pepper, chili flakes to taste

- ¼ cup part-skim ricotta for creaminess

- Fresh parm to taste

Instructions:
Heat the oil and butter in a large pan. Sauté tomatoes, garlic, lemon juice, and basil. Once fragrant, add in your spaghetti squash, pasta, and chicken. Season to taste and stir until fully combined. Add in the ricotta at the end for that creamy finish. Top with parm and welcome to your latest and greatest.

Macros (serves 4):
Calories: ~435
Protein: ~32g
Net Carbs: ~26g
Fat: ~20g

Going out to eat can be daunting when trying to drive progress but no need to keep yourself locked up and away from social situations. 

Umm depressing much?! Also totally unnecessary.

Use these tips to enjoy life while also utilizing STRATEGY. (This works in fat loss AND maintenance).

1. Eat a high protein snack 1-2 hours before. We all know what happens when you go into a meal starving. Don’t save up, this will backfire.

2. Skip the 🍞 basket. Would you ever sit down and eat an entire loaf of bread before dinner at home? I didn’t think so. This habit also spikes your blood sugar causing you to potentially eat more during your meal.

3. Start with a big green salad 🥗, or high protein apps like raw bar 🍤, grilled octopus, chicken lollipops, edamame, or meatballs.

4. Always prioritize your plate with protein 🐠🥩and green veggies 🥦🥬 and use 1/4 of your plate for more “fun foods” like pasta, fries, potatoes, etc or ditch entirely if you want to be “extra.”

5. Choose alcohol OR dessert…not both. Sorry, you can have it all just not all at one time. Sacrifices and restrictions need to be made, but you do have the freedom of choice here!

6. Don’t over complicate it. A few meals out of the month will not prevent you from reaching your goals. I recommend enjoying 1 meal TREAT meal per week. Any others outside of the home are light and tight.

3 days post op from breast explant, reduction, and lift surgery….

Here’s what I’m eating for breakfast as a certified nutrition coach and mom of 2 who’s keepin my s**t tight.

I’m sleepy, slightly weak, and minimal movement coming off of a decent surgery so making sure to properly fuel my body accordingly.

Right now prioritizing protein, fiber, and healthy fats, and taking in lower carbs than usual bc I’m feeling super bloated while the anesthesia works its way out of my body.

Make sure to follow for all of the nutrition realness, I’m never gonna sugar coat anything for you…I’m on your side gurlsssss (and boys).

After 7 years of feeling weighed down, heavier, and dealing with an unmanageable size…the implants are out!

This was a tough and rough decision but I think I made the right choice. I went from a huge E (way too big for my body) to a large C. I got a reduction and lift and while for years I thought my implants were helping they were actually hurting.

I’m a week post op and already feel so much better….i kept a bigger size in tact (I’ve always had large breasts), but the implants weren’t doing what I wanted them to do. While I went back and forth so many times on whether or not this was the right move I knew inherently this was the right decision.

It’s ok to evolve over time and I’m excited for a fresh and more sophisticated look!

The downtime for this surgery is minimal so if you are on the fence and have the budget no matter what you want to do with your boobs, I highly recommend doing it in a way that works for you.

Feeling 43 and fabulous 🎉🎁 

Some of the things that I have learned moving into “middle” age:

✨Strong over skinny
✨The five vanity pounds aren’t worth it, I’d rather have cocktails🍸 on the weekends and pizza 🍕 with my kids when I want it.
✨Never stay in a job you hate. I started my own biz over 6 years ago when most people told me it was dumb idea, and I’ve never looked back.
✨MOVE YOUR BODY. Doesn’t matter what it is just stay active. This will do wonders for not only your body, but your mind and all around lifestyle especially as you get older.
✨Don’t use AGE as an excuse. Give yourself more credit and don’t fall into the “woe is me” category. It’s lame and unsexy, plus getting older is way better than the alternative.
✨Zero f**ks. My f**k-o-meter is at an all time low. Life is so much more enjoyable when you make your own rules and stop caring about how you look to others.
✨You can be a wife and a mom and still go out and be wild. You do YOU.
✨The moment you stop stressing about every little f**king thing you can’t control is the minute that everything falls into place.
