- 🎃 High Protein Pumpkin Bread I know you guys have a sweet tooth like me, and this one is one of my favorites. Want to give it a try? Here’s how: ✅Ingredients: •1 cup (240 g) pumpkin puree • 1 egg • 2 egg whites, sub with 1 whole egg • ⅓ cup (80 g) Greek yogurt • 2 to 3 tbsp maple syrup, or more to taste • 2 tbsp (30 g) nut butter, almond butter, peanut butter, cashew butter, etc. • 1 tsp vanilla extract • 1 ½ cup (150 g) almond flour, sub with preferred flour • ½ cup (50 g) protein powder (I used Dymatize Vanilla) • 2 tsp baking powder • ¼ tsp salt • ¼ cup (40 g) chocolate chips, sugar-free if needed •Pumpkin Pie Spice ✅Instructions: 1️⃣ Heat oven to 340°F (170°C) and put parchment paper on aloaf pan or grease with oil/butter. 2️⃣ In a large mixing bowl, combine pumpkin puree with egg, egg whites, Greek yogurt, maple syrup, nut butter, vanilla extract, homemade pumpkin spice mix and salt. Stir with a whisk or fork for about two minutes, or until all is well combined and you get a smooth. 3️⃣ Mix in flour and baking powder. When the flour is incorporated into the wet mixture, scoop in protein powder and gently give it a stir. Do not over-mix proteinpowder. 4️⃣ Fold through the chocolate chips, if using. 5️⃣ Pour the batter into your prepared loaf pan. Bake in hot oven for 30 to 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of your protein pumpkin bread comes out clean. 6️⃣ Remove from oven and let cool in the loaf pan for a few minutes. Finally, remove from the pan and let cool.
- Frustrated 😣 with countless hours on the treadmill, elliptical or stairclimber? You’ve been told that cardio 🏃♂️will help you burn fat…. What if I told you that’s not the case, and it could actually be prohibiting your fat loss journey? Cardio alone, although great for ♥️ health, isn’t the best way to burn fat. 💥Lots of cardio will make you hungry and then you’ll over eat, negating the caloric deficit. 💥Cardio doesn’t help build lean muscle, which is ultimately what’s going to help you burn the most amount of fat, even when you’re not doing anything. 💥Overdoing it can cause lots of stress on the body/ joints and create injuries. I suggest substituting 80% of your workout regime with weight training to build muscle. The other 20% I would do some sort of HIIT training along with some form of steady state cardio to switch things up and keep your heart health in balance.. If this is confusing to you and you’re frustrated spending hours on the treadmill, shoot me a DM, I’d be happy to walk you through it.
