It’s less than 6 months left in 2023. Let’s talk Goals🎯 [SAVE THIS] I touched on my Wellness Goals earlier, but why not share how I set ALL my goals for the rest of the year? So my first rule: Keep It Short & Simple! – the “K.I.S.S. Method” - I didn’t want anything complicated! …grab ya notes✍🏾 ➡️ What areas of my life do I want to improve on? (ask yourself this and create categories) I chose 3 AND their specific meanings: 1️⃣ Brand & Social (my personal brand and social media platforms) 2️⃣ Fitness & Wellness (my weight loss & total wellness journey) 3️⃣ Personal (includes my personal income & travel goals) Next, break ‘em down!👇🏾 Create 2-3 *specific & time focused* mini goals for each category. (this is how the goals show up) Here’s a couple of mine for example… 📲 Brand & Social: I want to post 3x/week consistently on IG and gain at least 10K followers by January 2024. 💪🏾 Fitness & Wellness: I want to lose at least 50lbs by January 2024 ✈️ Personal: I want to take a trip at least every 3 months (cruise, abroad or visit a new state, etc) You can take these mini goals as deep as you want – but don’t overwhelm yourself! I keep using the phrase “at least” to give myself grace in the event I don’t hit everything but made an effort to try. Final step is creating a PLAN! Literally, what action steps are you going to take to make your goals happen?! I WFH so my schedule is the same most days. But create a plan that works best for your individual life. (create a schedule, time block, and stick to it!) If that means getting up earlier, turning on that DND, saving your coins, waiting until your family is sleep and/or being “outside” less - do whatever you need to get it done! I hope this helped somebody because Lawd knows this is the only way I keep together chile! I QUIT my business and here’s Why...🫣 In June 2021 I started The Elevate Lifestyle, my branding and design agency. I was extremely excited, but nervous b/c I had to figure out ｅｖｅｒｙｔｈｉｎｇ myself😩 from business formation, design programs, taxes, client management, expenses, etc. I accomplished a lot for being “self-taught” but this was stressful and far from cheap!! I spent major coins investing to build on my skills. But I still wasn’t attracting the clientele I wanted… It’s hard maintaining a biz & everyday life without a steady income or consistent clientele… so decided to call it quits 😔 I reached out to my girl breannaaponte b/c I knew she went something similar w/ her 1st business and could give some advice as a friend and solopreneur. I felt like the biggest FAILURE! …but God has a funny way of using your “failures” to Pivot you into Purpose. After talking with Bre, she said, “Q, omg! I was just about to ask if you wanted to work with me?!” Obviously, this was a no-brainer! And here I am today, the official Project Manager & Creative Director for allaboutyourbrand!😭🙌🏾 Did I mention I also landed a full-time job just a couple months before?! And it's been up ever since! What I learned from a 6-month hiatus from social media #transparencypost Let me get right into it… It's been a rollercoaster over here and I WAS OVER IT! 😮‍💨 At the end of August '22, I was maneuvering around a four-month layoff with no solid options, lost a close friend on New Year’s Day of 2023, my business was stagnant as hell, my relationship got rocky, was still dealing with the passing of my uncle and grandfather, and was homesick (again) because I missed my people.
