Here's why I don't film unhoused people. Note that some of my friends do so with consent and forethought, but unfortunately they are the exception. I personally feel the power gap is way too great for me to consider doing it. Also, know that unhoused people have their own social media and can and do film themselves. ANOTHER LA heat wave. It's 115* on the sidewalks where LA's unhoused population lives. I'm out here with friends and by myself the next few days passing out freezie pops and water. Everyone deserves food, shelter, healthcare, education AND freezie pops! Nice little things shouldn't be reserved only for those with enough money to get them. hi, I'm the LA band Precious child and I'm here in MacArthur Park handing out freezy pops to the unhoused. In contrast, just a couple weeks ago we had the National Guard and the Marines and DHS occupying this park. I'm giving out Freezy pops and water because there's a heat wave in Los Angeles with temperatures possibly reaching 110°. It's difficult for the house to get out of this heat. They deserve food shelter water and they also deserve niceties. I don't believe that people must make a lot of money or any money at all for society to give them a decent life. Isn't that the point of society? To make a life good for everyone? The heat wave is gonna last through Monday and so I'm raising money to cover the small costs. Every dollar will go towards these Freezy pops and water. I try to do this every heat wave in Los Angeles and your support has helped to make it happen. A few bucks can go a long way with this. Another day for the streets of LA. Giving out tents, food, and various supplies to the unhoused. For several years now, I've done this by myself and sometimes with friends. The city has the money to actually house every person that I give a tent to, to feed every person I give a lunch to. But it doesn't. Seeing people suffering makes me feel bad so I try to give a bit of my personal time each week to try to make someone else's day suck a little less and to make myself feel a little better about this bitter machine that's our society. This song is dedicated to the Catholic Church and the Pope. They're perpetrators of the biggest network of predators on the planet, and have been for over a thousand years. All yall being all sad about his passing are mourning someone reallly questionable... Everyone knows about this but instead people wave their arms about bs like trans people, immigrants, and yeah, artists and musicians like me. They walk amongst us in the open, they shelter each other and anytime you see a Catholic Priest, it's a good chance they're either a predator or know and protect one. It's gross. Ugh. This video was easy af to make and so unsettling. All the articles screenshotted for the video came up with one single web search. These are clippings from one of the world's biggest newspapers which only covers the biggest Catholic Church scandals. There's so many more, and endless victims.
